Anyone else stop watching sports shows?

I still watch GMFB , they're great but I just can't deal with the ESPN shows anymore.

I don't watch pre game coverage either anymore, just can't do it. Majority of the ppl are awful

I stopped watching it all. I turn to the channel when the games are on and that’s it. To be honest, I’d rather read the views of the public on message boards and in comment sections on social media then listen to the so called experts and former players....

Sounds like you just watch terrible things on television. Skip Bayless and Steven A....really?

The day after bills win, I go to YouTube and search Josh allen and watch the majority of the videos posted since the game. It’s entertainment. When your lord and savior has an unbelievable game against a very solid D while basically unveiling himself to the world as a problem for every team in the league.....why would you not want to hear what they have to say, regardless of what you think of their opinion.  Our boy BALLED out last night.  I want to hear what people have to say about it.  Not too many bad things can be said and those that talk trash just expose themselves as frauds  I’m surprised you don’t want to hear it.

Every week the hater list is evaporating. Mike Greenberg said this morning he's never been so incredibly wrong about Allen. Said he's on the verge of stardom. Max Kellerman is calling him elite and only Mahomes is better in the AFC.  If you're still a skeptical hater at this point you're just plain ignorant.

Nick Wright is a gasbag who tries hard to be controversial and JA blowing up he predictably is being arbitrary.  Skip is wrong on everyone and he sees things out of the lens of a bitterly disappointed Dallas fan. Both men should be taken seriously by any objective observers.

This is the first time I've ever seen Nick Wrights name anywhere.

I suppose it'll be the last, as well. Who frickin cares.

Skip is a wrinkly old ***** who just tries to get a reaction.

I've heard a ton of positive.  I even heard Skip's thing (I don't usually tune in), and he was very complimentary - he said he'd still take Baker #1 in that draft, but it was close.  Sharpe was saying that Allen would definitely be a #1 now - and would have been had he gone to one of the big power football schools.

Here's another Bills hater Keyshawn Johnson.

Sounds to me like Keyshawn doesn't even watch the Bills games.

He's asking where is the signature win? He obviously did not watch the Seattle game.

I am pretty big sports fan, but I have no idea who Nick Wright or this Cian guy is.  Bayless is a putz and always has been.  While it is nice to hear positive comments in the national media about the Bills and Allen, I really don't lose any sleep over what is said.  The Bills record speaks for itself and they are well-respected across the NFL.

He's an idiot.  I'm pissed that Golic and Wingo is gone in the mornings.

Nick Wright on first things first still trashing Allen.

Skip Bayless says baker is better.

Steven A wasn't to bad.

But they just keep moving the bar.

Baker is better - you've got to be kidding me.

Skip, it's been about 20 minutes since your last horrible LeBron take, better stick that schtick.

I missed Cowherd's segment on him today on the radio.  What did he say?

I only heard his hierarchy and he put the Bills at #4 and said it's probably too low.

He heaped praise on Allen.  Said it was Mahomes-like and Buffalo's performance was "jaw dropping".  Listed his stats over the past 3 years and the increases.  Said only Mahomes and Josh are way better pros than they were in college.  Gushed about the coaching he has received from McD and Daboll.   Said NFL scouts that he trusts were very luke warm or concerned about Lamar and Allen coming out of college..and how wrong they were.  He thinks coaching is huge in developing a QB.. and cited Darnold and Rosen as getting hosed...while Lamar and Allen were drafted into perfect situations.  Even though he always hates on Mayfield, he said Baker finally has a solid coach that can use his talents properly and put him in position to be successful.

I'd bet money Keyshawn Johnson doesn't even know we played the Seahawks

Or the 8-4 Rams, 8-4 Dolphins.

the jets x2 and the chargers are the only teams we’ve played that don’t have a chance to make the playoffs.

It takes time to change a narrative. Like Baker Mayfield but the opposite. Everyone loved him coming out of college. He had a great rookie season and everyone was saying told you so. He was pretty bad his sophomore year and people were slow to criticize. Now he's back playing better and people are like told you so.

Allen just has to keep playing well, especially in the spotlight, and the narrative will change over time. He's already flipped it IMO but now the question is can Josh Allen win a Super Bowl? Is he elite?

I just watched the Nick Wright segment out of curiosity.

He is kind of a buffoon. His main point was the Josh started out hot and then verbatim was “terrible for two months straight.”

Which I am going to need clarity on... he had two pretty bad games against the Titans and Chiefs and since then has been perfectly fine. I guess you could throw the Patriots game in there but he wasn’t asked to do much...

He then said Baker was better than Josh... which is fine... you can believe that... but what about Baker’s 6 week stretch where he only completed more than 60% of his passes 1 time. Threw 6 touchdowns (5 of which came in one game against the Bengals) to 3 interceptions and threw for less than 150 yards 3 times!

Josh’s worst game against KC, which was by far his worst game, was on par with what Baker did for 6 weeks straight.

I don't count ESPN as "hate". Every single one of their shows is CNN v. Fox News sharing a channel. They clearly go out of their way to have debates and half the time I don't believe that the person debating their points actually believes said points.

Cian is the most stubborn knob on the planet. The dude is incapable of admitting he was wrong. He is also frequently wrong. He hated mahomes and called tyreek hill tavon austin gimmick guy. He will analyze a play based on how he feels about a guy and form his narrative from there, no objectivity.

People are entitled to their opinions but anyone who thinks Baker is better than Allen huffs glue and their football takes should be disregarded. Most people are hyping allen today.

compare or say how much better Josh is to Lamar

that should do it.

Biscuit is too busy watching Cam newtons golden years and when he's not doing that he's trying to figure out how to still convince us a qb that never tore up the mountain west could ever be any good in the NFL.

Its just funny that he used to do that all on the boards before this year..... hmmmmm wonder why.

I remember comparing Allen to Elway when Josh started his pro career. Athletic as all hell, could make any throw but was so unpolished and innaccurate.

I'll be honest. I still see the comparison and likeness between the two but Josh Allen is better than Elway.

I never thought I'd say that.

Right now Allen is the 2nd best QB in this league. Better than Rodgers. Better than Beees. Better than Brady. Better than all of them with the exception of Mahomes.

His choice of plays to demonstrate this:

😂

Pro Tip Cian: Dion Dawkins doesn't refer to Allen as "an Angel back there", talk about how fortunately he's big so he can take more hits than other QB, and suggest Joey Bosa gets his pro-bowl vote because they protect him so perfectly.

Seriously?

Dominant OL and the Bills do not belong in the same sentence. A few pieces away from being in that conversation.

Drag the bottom of the league in rushing stats, been improving a bit with Feliciano back.

If we put any QB behind them that cannot run for his life or quickly flick the ball 30 yards on a rope, you may as well warm up the ICU and be ready to roll him off the field.

Ridiculous take.

Always had doubts about Allen.  Not anymore.   Reminded me of Aaron Rogers last night.  That was a big win.  With everything bunched up in the AFC the season could have gone south pretty quickly with a loss here.  He is scrambling now with his eyes down the field,  He is picking his spots to run, and getting down when there is nothing left.  He is scanning the field, throwing the ball away when there is nothing there,  and checking out of bad plays. Not sure what else there is left.  Let the national doubters be doubters, and keep that chip on his shoulder.
