CorkScrewHill
Calais Campbell is a fan "Ian Rapoport @RapSheet Apr 20 #Miami DE Greg Rousseau is one of the Draft's most challenging evals. One scout called him a “skinny little guy” on tape, but he showed up at his Pro Day 25 pounds heavier. Some wondered about the athleticism, but he’s much bigger now. Plus, he was an opt-out. Lots of questions. Calais Campbell @CalaisCampbell Replying to @RapSheet I wonder what the scouts were saying when I was coming out? Not athletic enough? Not strong enough? I am not a scout and I know they have a tough job. But I hope they don’t overthink this one. @Greg_R5 can play football. He is a playmaker! Shows up in both the run and pass game" https://caneswarning.com/2021/04/28/why-is-miami-hurricanes-de-greg-rousseau-plummeting-on-nfl-draft-big-boards/ Edited April 30, 2021 by CorkScrewHill

Norcalbillsfan
Hughes doesn't have too much left in the tank, gotta have a replacement for him. With Farley and newsome off the board I don't hate the pick. Bills know they have to get to mahomes and some one athletic enough to run him down. As long as we get CB2 at some point in this draft I'm good with it.

I'm just saying you pick at 30 and it's hard to get a get up and shout type pick. Not hating on the prospect at all. The way I see it, Beane capitalized on a Covid opt out who had a mediocre pro day who was set to be a top 10 pick after his 2019 season. That's absolutely the type of guy you target at the end of the first. 11 7

OldTimer1960
I like it - all the DEs and CBs had some questions- he was an opt out. Big, almost 35” arms, should be able to disrupt passing lanes even when he doesn’t get pressure.

A lot of people here seem to be saying this in the last few minutes. It reminds me of what people said about Lawson and how high he should have gone. It wasn’t true for him and it’s not true for Rousseau. 2 2
wvbillsfan
I just don’t understand how 15.5 sacks is so easily discredited in the acc Thats a lot of clean up/coverage sacks sign me up for this pick. He looks the part and sat out last year. Maybe he didn’t have the work ethic or drive he needed. Maybe he didn’t have the help and facilities he needed either. 3
Victory Formation
I’m actually really excited about this. I love his size. 15.5 sacks his freshman year, you can’t fake that, you can’t get lucky that often. 6’7 270lbs, this guy should be a natural at LE. Obviously he will have zero problem against the run and looks to be a quality pass rusher as well. He wasn’t supposed to be here at 30. I’m giving this pick an A+. 3

That's No Moon
He was the guy I wanted. Value pick at 30 who was only there because he opted out. Fits the profile of the FO reloading a position before the contracts expire, not after. Hughes and Addison are both UFAs after the season. Epenesa picked last year, Rousseau this year. Holes filled.

Brianmoorman4jesus
I’m confused. People are saying he’s a project that can grow into a high ceiling pass rusher. Which makes me think he’s an athletic freak. Then you have the guys saying he lacks quickness and just was compiling coverage sacks which makes me think he doesn’t have the athletic explosiveness. Kind of like he was getting sacks because he was a hard worker that hung in there on extended plays. Those things are the opposite to me. Which one is it? Kmart128
I like it dont love it. Wasnt a big fan of pass rushers in this draft. But if i had to pick one at 30 he was my favorite cause unlike many other pass rushers in this draft... he is productive.
Cheektowaga Chad
Guy had a ton of sacks his last year he played. I like that aspect Wasn't a fan of the highlights ESPN showed Overall seems like a pick where if they hit on it could be a championship winning pick, if they miss its not the end of the world. Seems like a solid gamble to make
loveorhatembillsfan4life
I can’t say I’ve seen much tape on him so I’m all for trying to improve a weakness. Willing to be open minded on this pick. I was kinda intrigued by Moore, still think we need to inject more speed into the offense and find an eventual Beasley replacement. Maybe tough to slot him in though. Let’s hope this works out or Beane to our Dline will be known like Belichick is to drafting WR.
WideNine
Seems like the best of what was left at DE, but only one solid year of production... roll of the dice on his high upside and potential. Floydboy12
Not a fan of the pick. Would have preferred to trade back or take Jenkins or Moehrig. Think he’s a step slow for the NFL.

DCOrange
I’m fine with the pick but his tape is disappointing when you go into it with the context of him being one of the country’s leaders in sacks. Nelius
Slow and not good but he had 15 1/2 sacks the only year he played?
