It is good to invest in core talent before you have your franchise QB however, that Qb better come sometime soon else all these contracts start expiring by the time one is found. In the case of Wilson, he was entering his fourth year in the NFL and the Jets could have picked up his 5th year option. Which means they have added two effective years to how long he will be a Jet. I think we all agree that the Jets do not have that franchise QB right now. If they pick one high in the draft in the next two years, only two years remain on Wilson's contract. Take the example of Ben Roethlisberger - when the Steelers picked him, the team was loaded with talent and he was able to excel and win a SB very early in his career. This move for the Jets makes sense if they eventually land their QB in the next draft. All that to say that they should have waited till next offseason to extend Wilson.

Improved: In my mind, it is a toss up between Kincaid and Coleman Regress: I agree with your choice of Taron -
My wife thinks Mahomes is way "cuter" than Josh. While I want to, how can I possibly say she has terrible taste in men?

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
Fan in Chicago replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am visiting Buffalo this weekend on a nostalgia trip and went to Highmark today. The sight of the new stadium is quite incredible. Having seen the the flyover videos and real life ground level view, I think it's going to be quite incredible when it's ready. -
Happy Independence Day. A funny incident. I had to tell one of our UK customers this week that we couldn't schedule a team meeting on Friday because of .... err.... independence day.

So Coleman's finances are safe? (Couldn't resist) -
Are you talking about the new site circa 2001? I bet there are many who were members of the old site, and hence can be considered "founding members".

Definitely a fantastic message board and a lot of it due to enforcing of the rules and knowledgeable contributors. 27 years and counting for me. I have learned a LOT from the posts. You are one of the good additions over the years.

Antonio Brown files bankruptcy. Earned over $100Million
Fan in Chicago replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand. My question was rhetorical. Its a collection of really poor decisions and a weak support system to save him from himself. Unfortunately not the first athlete to throw away that amount of wealth. And he wont be the last -

How does anyone spend $100 MM in 15 years? -
Basically, Allen and Purdy

In which case, the price goes up. $500k sounds like the breakeven deal number to me. But boy it is a tough question you asked. Let's say I chose the money, and 30 years later I am on my death bed. What will I feel? My guess is that I will think at the time that I was a fan for 64 years and my team has no ring to show for it, wasted a generational QBs talents and put my emotions though the wringer year after year with no payback. At that point, before death, I will regret having chosen the $500k.

Keon Coleman success by route - Not pretty

Self awareness and acceptance is the first step towards an improvement. Kid has a good head on his shoulders. Apparently he is also putting in the offseason work. That's the best he can do till the pads come on. How can one not root for his success? -
Former Panther Alert: Bills sign Shaq Thompson LB!
Fan in Chicago replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, that's why I like this signing. I trust the Bills docs have checked out his medicals -
Serious question cos I don't follow the Bengals closely - is he worth kicking the tires on? I wouldn't mind an experienced LB on our team.

This made me concerned about my memory.

With all the negative talk about him on this board, I had forgotten several of these plays he made. And he looks to have put in the off season work which means he is motivated. There is much to be hopeful about

I bet there will be more jokes in this thread than catches he makes for us -
Is WGR so badly out of topics to talk about ?
