  1. I wouldn't call Josh a chicken to his face. He may just come back with "I am the egg, man"
  2. Serious question - would Jewish commentators and media personnel then refer to him instead as "AD" or "Mitchell"?
  3. Time is supposedly a global magazine. Mahomes is a sportsman and entertains sports fans. His influence is in a sports world. In the grand scheme of things, with so many social and political things going on in the normal world, the importance of his zone of influence is miniscule. For Time to name him a top 100 influential person (of the world) is an indication of how far that magazine has fallen.
  4. I get that. Draft premium positions high and get the fillers post draft and post June 1
  5. Just reading the first 3 pages was revealing. Even some respected posters were sure he was a bad pick. Just wow!
  6. WR needs trump others, of that there is no doubt. But I must disagree to use up lot of resources in this and 2025 draft to move into the top 10. I just hope we don't use our first pick on anything but a WR.
  7. If we use #60 for a trade up or for a second WR, I am concerned about the S position. While I understand not drafting for need, we still need to fill the pipeline. How would you propose filling the S , and another EDGE, in this off season? Wouldn't a more modest trade up for a Thomas and preserving our picks this year for S, EDGE, OL make more sense?
  8. I am with you on this. What is important is that there are receivers to challenge the D on every part of the field. We already have several to cover the short to medium (Kincaid, Shakir, Samuel). As long as we find 1 (ideally 2) through the draft and post draft cuts/trade, we didn't really need someone we can call a #1 for this year. Shakir, Kincaid and Samuel have good hands. As long as we have receivers who can be the go to guys for Allen at every level, we will be fine. But we are not there at this point if time
  9. Now I like Dawkins even more. Much like @Augie, I too thought "This guy can run for President"
  10. I really feel we need a super impactfull WR to strike fear in opposing defenses. But i agree that draft capital is valuable this year due to the multiple holes (don't forget Safety 😉). To that end, I wouldn't mind using our 2025 2nds to move up into the lower teens to grab a Thomas. I didn't vote because I am okay with such a modest trade up but not a monster one as Kirby is advocating.
  11. I don't watch basketball at any level, have no interest in the NCAA. So, no
  12. Part of me wishes Jones drafts a WR with their first pick and makes Lamb available post-draft. The $$ though ....
  13. Well hello there. You have been missed around these parts. There is lot of new fodder for you.
  14. I am going to take a little detour into amateur psychology.... In a toxic relationship, some becoming worse like battered-spouse syndrome, the victim is incapable or unwilling to take action. It takes an outside person to observe the goings-on, attempt to intervene or then take action on behalf of the spouse. While the above is a bit dramatic, the way I see this apply to a Diggs-Allen relationship is that Diggs could have been the constant complainer and psychological bully. Allen is too nice a guy to drag this into the public eye. I doubt these things only happened behind Allen and Diggs' closed doors. McD and Beane must have seen this. In this situation, Beane would have been right to not wait for Allen to say "I am done with this guy". In this situation, I agree with you that Allen would not have uttered those type of words expressing support to keeping Diggs.
  15. Yep that's what Beane said in yesterday's press conference. But he said things like "I didn't want him blindsided" and "it (trading Diggs) wasnt 100% off the table". But that did not mean that Beane asked for Allen's approval. Beane must have been observing the goings on for the past 2 years, esp after the last contract adjustment for Diggs and his patience had run thin. And then thought - screw this drama esp when Diggs doesn't help put us over the top. At that point, he did not need to seek Allen's approval and I am guessing he did not. Keeping Allen in the loop (obvious and respectful) is different then seeking his blessing.
  16. A WR who fits may become available after the draft , Beane said that. Then there is post June 1 cuts. While hope is not a strategy, the likelihood of one of the two occuring is pretty high given the plethora of good WRs coming into the league via draft.
  17. Fair enough and I was making a collective judgment about this board's sentiment. I am usually not condescending to any player, let alone a Bills ex-player. But clearly Diggs had over-stayed his welcome and it is now evident that many of us (me included) dont feel the tinge of sadness that they did with the other players this offseason.
  18. An observation - remember how this board reacted when we said bye to Morse and White. With a tinge of sadness and many wishes for a bright future. And look how we feel when we saw Diggs bu** go out the door. Eager to put our boot on it. Cant but contrast how they were as team mates and as individuals. We will always think fondly of players like Morse, White....
  19. He wants to be the number 1 in targets and is an attention seeker. He won plenty in Buffalo but that didn't stop his antics. Texans are a good and upcoming team and imo, he provides experience but won't be a needle mover for them A tiger doesn't change his stripes. We will see but I wouldn't bet on Diggs suddenly becoming a team player.
  20. I think this will end badly for the Texans when Diggs starts pouting after realizing he is #2 or #3 on their depth chart. He is going to be a distraction for their excellent young QB. We will see how long Ryans puts up with his attitude. Imo, Ryans will be swifter than McDermott to impose discipline
  21. Its a quick watch. < 2 mins. Basically said it is a loss for the Bills but not a huge one given he faded away for 2 seasons in a row. Allen always having to answer "are you good with Stefon?" etc
  22. Excellent take by Brandt. Much as I feel sad in seeing Diggs go, I agree with all of what he said
