Not to derail this thread but with his continuing little injuries, I won't be surprised if Samuel doesn't make the team despite his high price tag. Either of Chase or Higgins would put this team over the top (literally and figuratively).

The OP meant Buffalo Joe to mean an unheralded undrafted player who puts in the effort and shows enough to make the final cut. Don't focus on the "Buffalo" part of that term.

Totally hypothetical - would you trade Cook and pick to get Mclaurin? I know there is a difference in AAV but is it a trade you would make? I think it's a tough tough decision but I would do it. Cook is terrific in our offense but McLaurin would make the overall O unstoppable. At RB , get a veteran and ride with him, Davis and Johnson.

I think with us shoring up the DL, the LBs will need to do less and hence should stay healthier. Similar story with the DBs with better DEs they should see lower needs and will be able to cover better.

I agree with all of this but have no expectations that the Bills will make the move given their history about WRs. I have been excited in the past about getting players like Metcalf and then been sorely disappointed. I really do wish Beane will stop thinking about managing the long term cap and push all his chips in. Like Eagles and Rams did before. A top end receiver for the next 4 years will be incredible for the Bills.

The question is where his hands were when he was attempting that kiss. As is well documented, he is quite "handsy" and based on history, it has to be more than said kiss. I seriously doubt that a player would complain about a simple gesture like that and that a team would take the extreme action of cutting him based on that.

It is good to invest in core talent before you have your franchise QB however, that Qb better come sometime soon else all these contracts start expiring by the time one is found. In the case of Wilson, he was entering his fourth year in the NFL and the Jets could have picked up his 5th year option. Which means they have added two effective years to how long he will be a Jet. I think we all agree that the Jets do not have that franchise QB right now. If they pick one high in the draft in the next two years, only two years remain on Wilson's contract. Take the example of Ben Roethlisberger - when the Steelers picked him, the team was loaded with talent and he was able to excel and win a SB very early in his career. This move for the Jets makes sense if they eventually land their QB in the next draft. All that to say that they should have waited till next offseason to extend Wilson.

I am visiting Buffalo this weekend on a nostalgia trip and went to Highmark today. The sight of the new stadium is quite incredible. Having seen the the flyover videos and real life ground level view, I think it's going to be quite incredible when it's ready.
