Dkollidas
Had literally almost zero production this year for Tennessee (literally zero sacks in 8 games played). But he’s an athletic freak who’s been near 10sks multiple times. McDermott discussed players coming here and “becoming the best version of themselves”. All that being said, could he come to Buffalo on a one year, $2m-$3m prove it deal? He’s an elite talent who’s never been able to put it all together and imo is a perfect fit for the Shaq Lawson role in our defense. 1
Bferra13
Would have to be super cheap. I think his ego is too big to accept that. And probably an inherent motivation issue there too. Doesn't want to do the work and just live off his God given talents. Pass
Magox
I think he's a possibility but not at $2m-$3m. I think he could be had possibly on a one year $8-$10m a year deal which should be taken in a heartbeat. Cutting Addison and Butler can more than make up that amount.
Success
Doesn't seem like the kind of player we're going for these days. But, of course, I could talk myself into it in about 30 seconds if it happened. 2 1

Miyagi-Do Karate
I think many of us predicted he would yet again produce next to nothing in Tennessee and we were proven right. This is a production business. He can’t even get a single sack? Something doesn’t add up. 2

Rc2catch
There’s a reason nobody signed him long term. There’s a reason he had to take a late deal last offseason. He has always been about top dollar and I don’t blame him for that. I can’t envision he’ll sign a really cheap deal anywhere though

I’m just wondering if he’s gotten to the point, and more so the league (with the cap being lowered) that they won’t pay for a guy who just has a name with no production. I believe a 1yr $2M deal with maybe $1M guaranteed is something worth looking into for both sides
Southern_Bills
I don't think he would come to Buffalo for super cheap, he would go back to the seahawks. He seemed to enjoy his season there and if he's playing cheap anyways.... With that said for cheap, yeah why not? But I wouldn't offer alot. He chose to be a mercenary and didn't produce, thats on him.

I think clowney might sit a year out if that’s his only offers. Or wait until a team has injuries and gets desperate. Shoot he might get a bigger offer from the XFL than 1-2 million. appoo
Clowney is still a disruptive player, even if he doesn't get sacks. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2020/10/jadeveon-clowney-pressures-no-sacks-titans He tends to grade well without those stats. Right now he's a younger version of the current Jerry Hughes. You could do well to get him for about 5M 1

One of them removes his face mask and in the instant before his face is frozen he whispers, "Do you think clowney might be worth a looksie? It couldn't hurt!" SoCal Deek
Isn’t that something? I’m going to trust our Front Office. Many fans want to jump on board with any player whose name they think they know. OBD apparently knew better when it came to Clowney. The Bills really need to keep building their roster from within. Draft well and then train up the guys once picked. Quite often the free agency market is just expensive dumpster diving. Victory Formation
I’d much rather have JJ Watt than Jadeveon Clowney, I assume their price tags will be similar. Although Watt is older and perhaps not as durable, he is capable of a 20 sack season whereas Clowney would be lucky to get you 10 sacks even if the stats aligned for him.
HappyDays
I would be happy with Clowney on a 1 year deal and a DE drafted in the 1st round. Roll into 2021 with Hughes, Clowney, Epenesa, and the rookie as your top 4, with the expectation that Clowney will walk after this year.
TheBeaneBandit
My bottom line is 5M with 250k per sack bonuses built in.
947
SPOTRAC has him estimated at $6.5M/year. I'd be all over that. Part of the problem with our 2020 DEs is that aside from Hughes, none of them are top level athletes. They can play, but struggle to get to the fast QBs. Even if he's not getting 10 sacks, Clowney would bring something most of our guys don't have, and he'll never be cheaper than he is right now.
