They themselves have probably already worked out these trades on their copy of Madden and they just can't believe that Beane isn't doing the same thing. Come on now! These guys KNOW what they are talking about. They could easily be GMs but they choose to post here instead.

Low Positive
The Lions are behaving like a bad baseball team. Drafting guys, and then trading them just as soon as they develop for the chance at getting another guy that they can develop and trade. As a Reds fan, I have seen this a 1,000 times. It's really not that big of a deal. The Lions are going to need a QB, and they clearly need an entirely new defense. By the time they're ready to compete, Hockenenson will likely have more days behind him than ahead of him. If the Vikings gave the best offer, I understand. Rc2catch
Weird to send him in division. I can see moving him if you’re not gonna pay him, and they clearly need to invest their free agent money on the defensive side of the ball. But still strange to send him to your rival. gonzo1105
We also didn't know if Hock wanted out. I gotta think that 4 picks are going to the Lions not Hockenson and swap of two to each team.
LEBills
Hockenson is a good, not elite tight end. Detroit knows it’s a couple years away from actually competing and their cheap owner wasn’t going to be happy paying a guaranteed 9+ million for a tight end next year and then however much more after that. I think it is a good trade for the Vikings to get a well rounded tight end and not that bad a trade for the Lions long term. Second round pick is worth more to them than 1.5 more years of Hockenson. I’m not worried about the Bills not getting him.

Campbell is a former TE so maybe he sees something that we don't or maybe he's just a fool.

ColoradoBills
Vikings had a decision on paying Irv Smith next year or TJ. Smith is a shorter/lighter TE and the Vikes new GM/HC must want more size from the position. While it's a good move to have both for the rest of the season, I think this is more of a futures move. FilthyBeast
Nice move for the Vikings, but surprised the Lions dealt within their division. Solid move for Minnesota but not a move that would help Buffalo right now.
