Philly fans really are the worst

My visit to the Ralph for the Eagles game was a challenge.  Never mind the 40 mph winds, the rain, the massive lines at the refreshment stands (for which I missed a Bills TD) or the fact that the Bills got crushed.

The place was infested with Eagles fans.  And I have to say that these were some of the most obnoxious fans I've ever seen.  I expect them to celebrate when their team does well but they were constantly sticking it in our faces and doing their level best to remove any remaining enjoyment from the outing for Bills fans.

The only reason these guys didn't get their faces pushed in is that Buffalo people are nice.  The Philly fans lived up to - maybe exceeded - their woeful reputation.

I must say, of all the fans I’ve encountered here in the UK at the London games, Eagles fans were the most obnoxious and unsociable.

However, they were dealt with in an un-Buffalo way. A quick “shut up you bellends” in a gruff northern English accent did the trick that time.

I was there too and I have to agree, I was 136 row 23 seats 6 and 7, I brought a good friend of mine who's an eagles fan so we could see our teams slug it out in the rain. There was a group of eagles fans in the row below us. They were a family of about 5 an uncle and the dad plus 3 of their sons(their kids seemed to be mid to late 20s) and every time we had a good play or scored they kept screaming buffalo effin sucks at the top of their lungs with children right below them and to their side?

Needless to say myself and the other bills fans(young and very old) were getting fed up with it and a few buffalo fans got in their face because they were nudging into us on purpose and getting a kick out of it. I told the scum bags "keep it up and there's gonna be a fight today boys and they looked surprised so I told em "the Ralph takes a person or 2 every year you don't let it be you" and they shut up pretty quick because their eldest group member agreed with me and told them to stop. And then they had quarters and pennies thrown by the handful at them shortly thereafter ?

Not by me might I add

I have been to Philadelphia for other sporting events besides football and yeah I have to agree they are the worst fans imaginable. Rude, obnoxious, vulgar. Much more so than even patriots or cowboy fans. Thank god we only have to deal with them every 4 yrs.

Remember when the NE fan punched at NYJ female fan in the face. All over news few years back. All opposing fans suck. What sucks mores is when the Bills suck and that's the real reason you are mad! On to Washington.

Yea, no one is actually looking to fight, they run their mouth until someone tells them shut up and that's usually the end of it. Crying about it on message board is no way to respond. If you sit there and cry, they win on & off the field. Pay the extra for club if you don't want to deal with this.

So Eagles fans love giving Bills fans the bird? Can we give them some Buffalo chips in return?

saw those guys..i am row 135 row 22 right on the aisle next to 136..told my Eagle friend " thats why people get get in fights..cheer your team all you want, but you dont have to be in others peoples faces about it" He agreed, and did seem like they calmed down fast..good job!

BTW, he was kinda bummed when he saw all the Eagle fans out Saturday night, and he thinks they can be pricks too and he just wanted to come up and party with Bills Mafia

Couldn’t agree more.  Longtime STH.  Jets fans are obnoxious, Raiders fans look for trouble, and Pats fans are arrogant.  Eagles fans are a combination of the Jets and Pats fans.  I didn’t mind the Eagles before Sunday and was sort of happy for their fans when they won their Super Bowl.  I’ll struggle to ever root for them again after last week’s display.

While we’re on the subject, Steelers, Giants, and GB fans are great.  Particularly the Steelers. They root for their team, but they’re very respectful.  They’re an easy group to like.

The ones around me werent bad.

Before the game, there was a woman filming herself giving everyone the middle finger in a 360 circle.  I thought it was strange and when she got to me, I gave her the 'tone it down' gesture.  She laughed.  I said we are a fairly friendly section, I have nothing against anyone for their choice of football team... but on the other hand, I don't need to be flipped off for no reason.  She was cool about it and I didnt notice her the rest of the game.

The next time I wait in line at the Cap for anything will be the first. Get your party on BEFORE the game, strategically hit far away upper deck bathrooms before a quarter ends, etc.

Not really surprised with your statement these are the fans that threw uno balls and cussed out santa remember ?

Any big city with a team especially on the east coast has those fans they can't just do some fun jabbing about it they have to take it all the way ! Don't go to LA either remember the guys that got stabbed in LA at the baseball game ?

Thats why i dig B/lo so much the city is small enough to have some moral structure left in it's thought pattern & way of life, sure Bills mafia isn't to smart when it comes to jumping off things onto folding tables (which is pretty foolish) but at the end of the day that's on them & not on other teams fans ...

I went to the game and I believe 90% of Bills fans are the greatest fans in the world.  But we got punked by Eagles fans in our own house.  It seemed like it was a 50-50 split.  Kept hearing Eagles chat in the bathroom (I’m surprised they spelled it right).  Generally, although they are annoying and loud, they were pretty respectful around me and there was good natured ball busting.

But i I honestly can’t remember going to a home game where Bills fans seemed like the minority. It sucked.

No offense but I don’t get why people care that another team beat the Pats.  “Congrats on hooking up with that super chick that I couldn’t!”

Never encountered any Philly fans, but on the flipside, I was at the big victory over Green Bay in 2014 and sat next to some GB fans and they were super nice. Even when the Bills had a good play they'd be like, "Aw man, that was just a really good play." They congratulated us after the game and I said the Bills were lucky Jordy Nelson dropped a deep one that he would've likely taken to the house untouched.

With their accents, the Eagles fans doing their chant sounded like they were trying to pinch a loaf. The ones next to us showed up halfway through the first qtr and left 2 minutes before the end of every quarter to either get beer or relieve themselves.

We had one in our section a few rows down so i just started yelling things back at him.

Fortunately I’ve spent enough time in Philly to pick up on both that stupid accent and some of their cultural touchstones. I had many choice things to say about Wawa, hoagies, the shore, Delco Trash, etc.

I also had to steal a bit from Bill Burr and spent about half a quarter railing on him for their greatest sports hero being a fictional boxer.

Right now, we are lovable losers. If we ever become good, we will be completely hated. I look forward to it.

wearing BIlls gear gets "sorry dude, it's okay..... your team will get better some day..."
