Trade Targets?

If this team makes any moves it's going to be for veteran DB.

As good as these young guys have looked I still think when we face a team that has a great oline and QB (i.e. the Chiefs) it's going to be a big problem.

Plus still no guarantees that White will be ready to play at a high level whenever he's back this year.

I don't care anymore for what, but please trade Moss.  It is not his fault, I don't have a lot against him other than he is NOT Devin.  The staff insists on taking Devin off the field despite being better, more effective, and barely getting any kind of a workload to put ineffective Moss out there.

Just trade him.  Get anything back, I don't care.  Stop holding the offensive run game back by getting him way too many snaps compared to Devin.

Has anyone mentioned upgrading QB2? What if Josh gets hurt? We could probably get Mahomes for Moss and a 5th round pick. Of course, we would need to renegotiate that contract to help the cap. I love these hypothetical trade threads!  :)

Better get Herbert for #3.. just in case the worst happens.

I get the feeling Cole wouldn't accept a deal to play for the Bills.

I am sure you realize that players have a choice when signed off practice squads and I think there is more of a chance of Incognito returning than Beasley.

Let's just not put it to the test

More assets for a running back and I'll jump off a bridge.

Is.....that supposed to disincentivize us?

Er...not to interrupt you while you're on a rant, but you do know that Singletary got nearly 3x as many snaps as Moss last night (37 vs 13), twice as many carries (6 vs 3), and Singletary had a mighty 2 more yards on them than Moss (19 vs 17)?

The Bills are getting Tre White as their major acquisition and I think maybe there is an outside chance they sign OBJ. But as far as major trade acquisitions I just don’t see any happening unless there is a major injury that is causing major issues. For example if Dawkins or a key Oline player got hurt I could see the Bills trading a 1st replace him.

The Bills are in a good position where they don’t have that one need they have to address via in season trade which gives them the ability to patch over a key injury or two if that happens.

You realize that Moss got all his yards on one late carry right?  And that outside that carry he was averaging 2 yards per carry on the season, which includes last week where he led all RB's in total touches right?  Not to mention just 3.5 yards per catch and a lost fumble too.

Bottom line is...Moss shouldn't be on the field over Devin when Devin isn't even tired from lack of a workload.  There is no logical reason for Devin to only have 6 attempts while also giving Moss 3.  Devin should have taken all 9 of those.  We can spell Devin with Cook and Gilliam if need be, we don't need 5 active RB's per week to handle this minimal rush load.

RB's need rhythm, and its already hard to get them that when we are such a passing juggernaught.  So why compound that further to divide up 9 carries between two RB's?

Not quite a trade…  but how amazing would it be if the Bills take the field next game for the 3rd quarter, and Vontae Davis is just waiting for them, helmet on, on the sidelines.   Like nothing ever happened.

Vontae: “get your ice cold Genesee right here!”

Given that Dane Jackson is going to be out for a while and all we have left are our two rookie corners I really would not be opposed to bringing in a Joe Haden type just for insurance

For all we know, he might play on Sunday.

If the Bills seriously want OBJ when he is healthy, and I am not all that sure they do, would they consider offering him some money to join our practice squad?  Not sure how much it would take to lure him to Buffalo but it would be an opportunity to try out the fit, demonstrate the Bills culture, and allow him to learn the offense.

Any team could sign him off our PS if they have a roster spot and the money he wants, but is that much different for OBJ than his current FA status?  It might give us a better shot at signing him, if we are truly interested.

Spot on. The Moss obsession needs to end. Did we forget how good Devin was down the stretch last year as the feature back?

It would be one thing if they were similar caliber players, but Singletary is miles better
