BBFL
Probably the best scenario in terms of RB type and money. Enjoyed watching his moments for us lasts season. Let’s hope he gets some continued usage. 8 3

FireChans
Most elite RB with less than 200 yards from scrimmage last year. 14
Bruffalo
He was a decent enough RB2-3 last season and I'm sure it's a low cost contract. This is what we should continue to do at RB. Edited March 14 by Bruffalo 3 1

KDIGGZ
He looked good but I hope they don't rest on their laurels and think these 2 plus a rookie is good enough. I'd like to see them add a good veteran on the cheap Edited March 14 by KDIGGZ

That said there is nothing remotely about him that is a RB2 in this league IMO. 6 minutes ago, FireChans said: Most elite RB with less than 200 yards from scrimmage last year. And 54 of those yards alone came from the Dallas game, where the Cowboys absolutely REFUSED to tackle any RBs. Good depth player. Wouldn't want him as "next man up" if Cook misses time. Miyagi-Do Karate
This is HUGE!!! Cook and Ty are a perfect 1/2. Maybe get a cheap vet or late draft pick to round out the room. 2
Logic
I don't think you can get much better at RB3 than what Johnson gave the Bills last season. Aside from playing special teams, he also ran the ball with burst and power and caught it well out of the backfield. He's probably also making vet minimum or close to it. Good signing. 1

wppete
Great signing! He had a great season last year. Good combo with Cook. Now go draft a big, hard running RB in the mid rounds in the draft.
LABILLBACKER
Very good signing. As others have said, get a better and cheaper vet than Murray/Harris and draft someone late like Gore jr.
2003Contenders
Nice signing (assuming money is minimal). My guess is that they will still want to bring in a veteran who can be relied upon for pass protection/blitz pick-ups.
without a drought
Hopefully he will become the player that everyone thought he was last year. He made a great first impression with his TD catch and run. Then he basically did nothing but hit the hole quick.

4thandGoal
Love this signing --- Whether he is a 2 or a 3 --- I will take it and then add a rookie. There is not a veteran I want unless maybe CEH with his experience and his injury history.

It isn’t a coincidence they released half of the defense and let the other half walk to FA. Edited March 14 by DapperCam

Pretty obvious Beane is prioritizing the draft to improve the Bills, which is the correct decision when you have minimal money to spend. What would you have done to change all this without being deeper in the hole. They are getting somewhat younger on the o-line. Our 2nd or 3rd RB will be better and younger then Murray. Our second WR, which should be a rookie will be just as good as Davis but also dont sleep on our rookie , or Shorter or Hollis. They lost journeyman along the Dline and will add thru the draft and cheaper contracts in FA. The LB will be better with Milano hopefully healthy for the whole year. The D Backs will be the same and we just need to add a safety(one in FA and one in the draft)

Is there some FA RB you'd rather have that'll be around the same price as Johnson? I can't think of any.

It really wasn't much: 132 yards rushing and 88 receiving. Wouldn't it have been better to spread those touches (3-4 per game for Johnson) amongst Murray and Cook? Bills drafted Singletary and Moss and ultimately let them go because they didn't want to pay them second contract money down the road for what they were getting (the Bills got Hines for Moss--oof). They replaced these two, ultimately, with Murray and Johnson--the former an ancient journeyman, the latter a career journeyman scrub. 1 1

78thealltimegreat
Solid move there’s a couple teams you could make the case TY could be RB1. Now RB room is set even if they contract a guy which they probably will anyway.
