  1. Sounds like a great idea. Bass should scare Bills fans. He seems insulated from any consequences of blowing our season with a chip shot miss against KC along with misses along the way. There are too many automatic kickers (Ravens, Bengals,Dolphins,) for us to live with a guy that has confidence issues.
  2. Alphadawg you’re one of my favorite posters but Shakir emerged end of last season. He was the best weapon in most of the final regular season games and definitely against KC in the divisional game. The guy catches everything and gets better at the end of games. The Bills don’t pull the trigger on the Diggs deal without confidence that Shakir, Samuel and Kincaid can carry load with 1st rounder being the vertical threat.
  3. Good read, you should have a sports blog. Sometimes you find some talent on these forums.
  4. You’ve got great investigative instincts. It’s incredible how much information is available without much effort. Josh always takes the high road and that defines his leadership skills. Diggs was instrumental in putting Josh and the Bills on the map. When his skills set diminished with wear and tear his contract and provocative outbursts made him expendable. We thank him for his efforts and wish him well. I wish his sentiments towards the fanbase were as magnanimous.
  5. I liked Diggs’s fire and he set the tone for physical dominance that was passed on to the Beasleys, Davis’s and McKenzies to an extent. Unfortunately after he was diminished in the game plan he sulked even in wins. He wasn’t worth the enormous contract. His attitude which he shares with his brother is not good when the team faces challenges.
  6. Thank you, I was incorrect in the amount of Diggs targets but he was short arming catch attempts and Snead was being more physical and smothering Diggs. Shakir was catching everything that night That catch at the goal line for a TD was just a taste of what he will be with more responsibility.
  7. Why was the decision terrible? Diggs was crappy all night with 3 receptions on 12 targets for 21 yds. Diggs was tentative and wasn’t aggressive on contested balls. Josh had an open receiver in the end zone when he got jostled stepping into the throw. Only a Josh/Bills hating 2nd guessing Monday morning QB wouldn’t acknowledge these facts. By the way, any Buffalo resident who only watches local channels can see 500 games and still hate the local team. Troll on.
  8. The mindless comments about Josh not getting better is predictable coming from a Bills hater like yourself. Would you be satisfied with 44 total TDs from the QB on the team you root for. How about 6 straight wins to pull out the division, while Hurts, Prescott, Tua, Herbert and Burrow were imploding or out for the season. Josh has the most total TD the last two seasons. He doesn’t miss games and he wins divisions. Any troll would acknowledge his greatness. If he’s top 2 or 3 QB in the NFL that’s enough for Bills fans. The loss to the Chiefs was on Diggs,, our banged up defense , our suddenly unreliable kicker, not Josh. Bills should have at least gone into OT.
  9. Rallied the troops? The troops were flat as pancakes from the start. They were pushed around by a team that came to play. Josh was crushed by the idea of losing at the end of the game. He is the heart and soul of the team. Diggs is a me first jerk who loves to blame others. His talent has diminished and now the Bills and the fanbase is the problem. Don’t let the door hit you in the Fanny.
  10. Just a Bills hater living in Bills country. You love that Diggs got in Josh’s face after that Bengals game? Josh never criticized Diggs for being a ***** on social media and a public malcontent team destroyer.Josh never points fingers and takes responsibility for losses. His teammates love him and play hard for him. Don’t be silly enough to question Josh’s motivation or work ethic .This team was a national joke for 30 years before Beane, Sean and Josh. Don’t delude yourself into believing that Josh won’t make any receiving group better. He made Diggs a star until his skills diminished and became a hopeless malcontent. Any other team not called the Chiefs, wins their division four years straight and are playoff locks every year. Don’t worry, they’ll break through soon enough because Josh is only getting better. Don’t worry about what he does in his personal life. When the bell rings, other than Mahomes, any knowledgeable football fan would take over any other QB.
  11. The reason they changed OCs was because they stunk and couldn’t score in the first half of several games and Dorsey was afraid to go away from Diggs who demanded the ball. even though tried to take him away with extra coverage. They were falling out of the playoff picture. They made the offense multidimensional and Diggs never got near 100 yds receiving in the last 9 games. He had more drops in big games than in 3 seasons combined. What is this unfounded defense of this me first, Buffalo hating diva about?. Do you remember him getting in Josh’s face when the whole team collapsed against the Bengals and we had to justify that crap by explaining how ultra competitive he is.Watch him cancerize the Texans now. That’s why they paid him more next season to eliminate the final years of his deal. He’s in the rear view now, no more defending this waste of time.
  12. I get you’re a big Diggs fan but you have to acknowledge his fall off that coincided with the new OC and the Bills resurgence. This transformed version of Diggs demanded targets at the expense of the team’s fortunes. When the game plan featured more run game and spreading the ball around to Shakir, Kincaid and Cook, the Bills won 6 of 7 and the division. He looked like a tentative shell of his former self in that KC game and dropped the potential game winner on a perfect throw. Then proceeded to be a me first distraction, putting himself before the team that was paying him a fortune. It’s small wonder the Texans converted his deal to one year and we’ll see what happens. His lack of appreciation for this fanbase that embraced him is not the look you’d expect from a classy HOF type player.
  13. Diggs is not the same guy he was and the drama coupled with his monster contract made him expendable. Sutton could be shoehorned into the cap with some Beane slight of hand magic if they really wanted him, but you’re probably right with the idea of getting younger at the lead receiver position.
  14. Allen knows Diggs is not a top 10 receiver anymore but he’s become a constant distraction with demands for targets and attention. He’s outlived his usefulness in Buffalo and he needs to play elsewhere. I loved Diggs and appreciate his role in Josh’s development and putting us in the hierarchy of the league but we’re ready for a younger, more dynamic playmaker.
  15. Diggs is a possession receiver now, that looked tentative in the playoffs and couldn’t make a tough catch in the biggest spot of our season. He’s a diva and malcontent and has 3 years of mileage more than Sutton. He lacked the fire in the 2nd half of the season that has defined his Bills career. At less than half of what Diggs cap hit is, he’d be a solid addition.
  16. When was the last time in 40 years that the Bills got a quality player for a 3rd or a 4th rd draft choice. It’s a pipe dream. The only reason the Texans got Diggs for a 2nd was because we couldn’t look at him anymore no less pay him.
  17. Who are the game changing 2nd rounders we’ve trotted out there. Any Sutton’s in the bunch. These teams without quality QBs need receiving. You have to give to get. The Redskins in the 70s with George Allen used all their draft choices to get quality vets. They got to SBs and were in the NFC championships with zero draft contributions.
  18. Sutton is a younger Diggs at this point. He’s a solid # 2 and in our offense could be better with Josh. If Beane could pull him in for a 2nd next year it would be massive.
  19. If you like Aiyuk better than the quality of receiver available when you draft and he fits your offense, the #28 will not impact your team next season as much as an established top receiver. SF won’t move him unless they can get a good offer like a late 1st rounder.
  20. Here’s the thing, vertical threat receiver is our biggest need. If you trade up for a guy of Aiyuk’s caliber ( probably somewhere in the mid teens to low 20s) you’re giving more draft capital than #28. Probably #28, 58 and our #2 next year minimum. I think Ayuk would flourish in a Josh lead offense. He was really productive with the noodle arm QB in SF.
  21. Our 1st for Ayuk, yes thank you
  22. That’s perfect, trade our best defender because he was injured. Great way to attract FAs. Milano’s value is more as a veteran leader with Hyde,Poyer, White , Phillips, Lawson all gone. Milano is a top 5 OLB. He allows us to play defense with 2 LBs in Sean’s system.
  23. I like Knox, but he’s got to show some pride and become a factor after being extended. Kincaid has become a top tier TE after his rookie year. Knox has speed, size and toughness but he has not established himself as a productive option. This is the year, when Diggs’s targets are gone and the TEs will be a bigger part of the offense. Time to show up.
  24. Bass should be on a short leash starting with training camp. He had confidence issues and was an abject failure down the stretch and in the playoffs. We can’t allow this position to be a question mark because it will compromise our entire offense. He can’t get by with his performance 3 years ago. I personally think once a PK loses confidence he’s gotta go. Sean and Beane want to show patience fine. It can’t be excused if the signs continue.
  25. Johnson has Diggs’s attitude without the talent. If he doesn’t get targets he sulks and becomes a distraction. If he had any redeeming professional qualities, they wouldn’t have given him away.
