BigDingus
I mean, I can understand being excited about getting Hill, but yeah... 4 TD difference isn't going to happen. Then again, I have no idea what they've done on defense this offseason, really haven't paid attention to them. Brian Flores also had a knack for getting his team to play hard even when losses were piling up. Don't see them being able to hold it together as well if they start going on big losing streaks. 1
H2o
I think McDaniel is going to be more along the lines with the offense that you see in San Fran. Everything was predicated off of the running game. If the Dolphins can't run the ball against our front then it will all still fall on Tua. The guy cannot go toe-to-toe with JA.
Max Fischer
I do not believe in Tua, who could drag the team down. Losing to anyone in the NFL is not inconceivable on any given Sunday. Look what happened against Jacksonville last year. Ugh!! But Miami will have their hands full against us as long as we have Josh Allen as our QB. Tua has a lot to prove to be considered even a competent starting QB in the NFL, let alone being the next Dan Marino. LOL
BuffaloBill
This move by Miami reminds me of the Bills two decades of suck when picking up a splash free agent would case “the turnaround.” The NFL is a QB driven league and until and unless Tua proves he has the “stuff” this is just a window dressing move to hype up the fan base. SF Bills Fan
I think it is like us getting Watkins when we had Taylor at QB. It's kind of a waste of talent with Tua there. It is thought that even with o-line additions, it is still a below average unit.

buffalo2218
It's like King pointed out, they'll be trotting out the same defense Josh has shredded for the majority of his career up to this point. They may score a bit more, but even that's not a guarantee. They have improved but Hill isn't gonna make Tua in to Josh Allen. Yes, getting Diggs did help Josh, but alot of Josh's success came from his work ethic and coaching. From this point on, Allen getting better from where he is now is pretty much the rest of the division's nightmare. The Jets have given Josh more trouble defensively compared to Miami Edited March 28, 2022 by buffalo2218

But he was also the best at giving right back--middle finger and all. He could dish it out, and he could take it. It was pure competitive entertainment. .... I wish they would have mic'd him up during a game at Rich Stadium. .... But I'm sure it would be nothing but bleaps the entire time. ..... Also, it feels like karma that his son is now a Buffalo Bill. I bet he loves the irony of that. ... Regardless, I, like you, still loath the fish. I hate how they destroyed us during the 1970s--I think we were 0-for the decade. Even with Tyreek, we'll still pound them. Our goal, take the 2020s! Dr.Mantis_Toboggan
At the end of the day, they aren't significantly better in any one area than Buffalo, while the Bills remain dominant at the most important position in the sport. I do think the Fish made some worthwhile additions in Hill, Edmonds and Mostert but those aren't going to be enough to make up for your lack of an elite QB1. Bills win the east, wouldn't be surprised to see them split with Miami this year though, as I do have them as a wildcard team, and once you're in teams have proven time and time again, anything can happen... like getting 47 dropped on you at the Ralph. FilthyBeast
If McDaniel is truly some sort of genius and savant the Dolphins will eventually find a way to beat the Bills soon even with mediorce QB play. And obviously by hiring an offensive minded guy this time around they are doubling down on Tua and assuming that McDaniel can bring out the best in him like he did with Jimmy G in SF. If that happens and Tua does take another step still think the fish are right up there with the Bills as not only as potential division winners, but SB contenders. The Dolphins didn't manage his rookie year very well, starting him at guard, then flipping him to left tackle and now have decided to put him at right tackle. I think if they let him mature at that spot then he can be a very good starter. Is it good enough to be a line that supports a dominating run game? Remains to be seen.
