I think a lot of NFL players, especially if they come from huge college programs (like most of them do), really tune into the enthusiasm of Bills fans and the way we offer a college-like atmosphere at the NFL level. But one big thing I give him props for in his career is he's held his own more often then not in matchups versus Brady. Lackawanna native, Mike Mamula, a Boston College product had a 49, which convinced the Eagles to draft him over Warren Sapp, oops. I agree, Fitz if he wants to work, (and I'm sure his Harvard buddies are running his money, so he's kept most of it), will be a FO guy like Elway. RunTheBall Posted January 16, 2022 Share Posted January 16, 2022 I absolutely LOVE FitzMagic. I wish he had the skills to play longer for us. He would be a great backup QB for us for a year or 2. Josh is still growing and although he doesn’t need a vet QB anymore, having a guy like Fitz with his intelligence and experience could only help Josh especially if things get bumpy. Just like Josh, he’s a Buffalo guy through and through. It would be poetic to have him come back for a year and then retire as a Bill. Not just for the nostalgia factor, but I think if Josh were dinged for a game or 2 Fitz would be a solid fill in and can win a couple games. He knows just as much football, has more humor/personality, has played for 9 different NFL franchises and coaching staffs, has more relationships throughout the NFL world and likely has more league wide good will than any other human being on the planet.
