Not surprised. Too many safeties available. Wouldn’t be surprised if Poyer is a Dolphin. He almost signed there last year.

Leslie Frazier works for the Seahawks now. They just released both their safeties. Hyde is a FA as well. 🤔🤔🤔

One of my favorites...this was no surprise though from a cap perspective.

He didn't find the market he was looking for last offseason, wondering if he comes back again if the market is dry and plays another season on a cheaper deal.  We need to draft safeties this year and get younger, but would be nice to have someone like Poyer here a season to help groom them.

If he has officially played his last game though, then thanks for everything you gave Poyer, you were a true dawg out there week in and week out giving everything you got.

It's hard on a human level but if we want to be a Super Bowl team, moves like this need to be made. You can't hang onto an aging player for sentimental reasons.

At least not when you're in a poor cap situation.

When the Bills win a title, there are players I'm going to think about w/ gratitude, and wishing that they could have achieved that goal while they were on the team.

Hyde & Poyer top that list.  They helped give the Bills D a fierce identity, and were always a joy to watch.  I wish both guys the best.

They should be together on the Wall

I knew this day would happen eventually but I am still sad.  Poyer and Hyde were dogs out there and gave it their all every game.  Going to miss this duo.  Some of my favorite Bills ever. Wish they could have gone to the show while they were here.  Would have been amazing.

Like I said, won't happen. We are drafting WR.

We have one hole at WR.

We have NUMEROUS holes on defense.

The draft is deep for wide receivers.

As my grandma used to say, don’t count your chickens, sonny boy.

Best wishes Poyer. Probably the best safety the Bills had in my lifetime.

This is why I never fault players for getting the absolute maximum they can from a team, including holding out. tHeY'rE uNdEr cOnTrAcT is only ever a 1 way line of thinking.

Sad day.  Loved watching  Poyer

I agree, Loved the guy.

When he was mic'd up and I watched him hit, it looked like getting hit by a Mack truck... reminded me of Steve Atwater

Truly the end of an era on the backend of the defense. Thinking this means Rapp is back soon.

Perhaps Beane and McD will will dig up a couple of diamonds in the rough as replacements, as they did in 2017.    It has been said that safety is one of the most important positions in this defense.

It was McD and Whaley that dug up those diamonds. Beane was still in Carolina.

The right move by the Buffalo

Bills Jordan Poyer is on the downside of his NFL career in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

Bill Walsh used to say “It’s better to let go of a player one year too early than one year too late.”

It was just McD. Whaley was getting Pegula coffee and waxing his car.

Yes Whaley/Nix missed on EJ & then Whaley doubled down on Sammy, but we haven't won a trade like Shady for Kiko with Beane.

Buffalo plus talked about this the other day and said he could be released and resigned in the summer

heck I wouldn’t be totally shocked if he’s on the market pretty late in the game or during the season as a guy jumping onto a roster cheap if a contender (ie Buffalo) had an injury

Cmon, just stop.

1. Beane is too smart to draft safety in the first in general.

2. There isn't one close to be worth it this year.

3. We are drafting WR in the first this year almost no matter what.

It was a joke. Agree with your first two points. But cannot be certain about the 3rd.

I’ve always had a vision of the 90s HOFers all being there when we finally win it all, and celebrating with the current team.  Next year in NOLA, party on Bourbon Street?

I didn't realize it was in NOLA next year!  That's a bucket list city for me.  If we make it, I'm goin'.....
