Didn’t see this posted. Former jests draft pick. 6’5” 325. It’s a one year deal. Decent depth or a fallback at RT? Discuss.

edit: Happy Memorial Day everybody.

IMO this is the best Bills roster since McDermott was hired.

Im hoping for one more signing, either at WR or Edge.

For sure. They are pretty stacked and have good depth at most areas. MLB could be an issue but other than that they look pretty solid.

Beane deserves some criticism, but no one can really argue that he doesn’t continually upgrade the roster year after year.

This year he faced a lack of cap and draft picks.   Still made it happen.

This is where having Allen and “the culture” comes into play.  The ability to affordably sign guys like Ford, Harris, Rapp, now Shell.   We always wondered how good teams stayed good … this is how.

Cap will be tight again next year, and should we sign Hop… VERY tight, but Beane is loaded with picks for the ‘24 draft and could potentially gain more comp picks for ‘25 in Davis and Oliver… when we will likely still be cap strapped.

Not worried about MLB because the worst case scenario is AJ Klein starts and they have to match personnel against 3wr+ sets with Taylor Rapp as a 3rd safety.

We have the personnel to play 1 LB and 3 safeties.

In a perfect world a young LB steps up.

Watching last year Miami at Buffalo night game. Liking what I'm seeing so far. Got the weight to anchor. Little twitch for big man.

Have to believe that Tommy Doyle is kinda on the hot seat then as training camp starts in about 6 weeks or so and Shell didn’t do too bad as Miamis starter last year.

Yeah I bet Quess and Shell take it and Doyle IR stash or PS. Maybe gets picked up by diff team. I doubt it tho.

Solid signing especially for this late in the off season. Lots of experience. Competition for Brown that hopefully he will be challenged by and rise to the occasion.

Yeah nice insurance and competition for Brown. Beane does it again!

I do believe they want Brown to win the Job and Brown can with the job with how he played down the stretch last season. His biggest hole is learning how to counter pass rushers swiping his right arm up or down and getting around him. If he can fix that hes good imo. He played alot better his last 5 games than the games before that. But I like having Shell if his performance regresses again.

6'5" 324, 31 years old

Drafted by the Jets in the 5th round (158th overall) in 2016 draft

83 career games, 72 games started

4 years with the Jets, 2 with Seattle, 1 with Miami

Started one playoff game with Seattle

When healthy, he has generally garnered 90+% of the RT snaps for his teams (over the last 6 years, he's been a starting RT)

But it also looks like he has missed a lot of games due to injury over his career (16 games over the last 3 seasons)

Perfect depth signing. You aren't asking him to play a full season, but when he comes in, he knows how to get the job done.

I keep saying it, but Beane is trying to build an injury-proof roster (after how last season went). I love the depth the team has now...and it keeps coming.

Doyle will be about 10 months past reconstructive knee surgery when camp opens...........I could see him being on IR to start the season like Boettger was last year.

they’ll announce that when they announce this signing.

guessing an OL will be released

then hopefully a WR for a certain other UFA

I'd guess Mancz.  Unless he's injured.

Also think you'll see more 3 safety looks too

I thought I saw Greg Little playing RT for the Dolphins last year.  I always notice Little because he was the player that Carolina took when they moved ahead of Buffalo in that 2019 (?) draft and the Bills then drafted Cody Ford.

Have the Bills released a player? I thought they were at the 90 roster limit?

per tweet he has not signed yet.  they could run in contract issues or some other team may contact his agent.

Free agent OT Brandon Shell plans to sign with the #Bills, per source. Not done but trending that way. Shell played valuable starter’s snaps for Miami last season, now set to stay in AFC East.
