You'd be taking him from a position that de-emphasizes tackling and focuses more on covering to a position that de-emphasizes covering and focuses more on tackling.

Punching Bag
I believe he will be on a roster but not for Bills. I do not believe he could come back to Bills as backup but he may be willing to join another team as backup or even as practice squad member getting healthy enough to play and be effective which is different.. I think you sell him short. I bet he returns to a roster and returns to play at a really high level. This is an injury he can fully recover from.

I remember reading something about even since like 2019, there has been dramatic improvements. That, plus the fact that Tre is more of a zone corner— I can see him getting back to being a productive starter. will he be an all-pro? Doubt it. But it wouldn’t surprise me to see him starting for a team here in the next 12-18 months.

He hasn’t done much since being injured Thanksgiving 2021. I was sadder that Mitch Morse got cut. He was a leader of the O line and was still playing well. And I liked his stoic toughness. Tre had a real good run. But injuries are a big part of the NFL. I love the Bills. But it’s more the team than the individuals except for Josh. He is special. I miss Kyle Williams more then I will miss Tre. He was the heart and soul of the team for 10-12 years. 2

Einstein's Dog
1 hour ago, boyst said: i think he's back. I don't think Tre comes back. IMO the blurb from Beane about Tre was because he was put in a tough interview spot when right after his praise of Von for taking a pay cut they asked him if the pay cut had been an option discussed with Tre. There was a telling, panicked, half second before Beane got into his preprogrammed GM speak. We'll have to see what happens with the draft but right now I give much better odds for Hyde to come back than Tre.
