Bangarang
We have an OC that can’t for the life of him find ways to get Cook the ball in the passing game and y’all thought he’d be able to get Hines the ball? I only remember Hines being on the field for 1 snap on offense. This team makes moves without having any sort of plan.

TampaBillsJunkie
Dont forget Wilson in Miami. He runs for 117 today and the tandem with Mostert is creating a lot of mismatches for defenses that Tua is taking advantage of. Us, well..... JakeFrommStateFarm
Strange to have 4 active rbs and have Johnson returning kickoffs. BananaB
On 4th and 2 Duke Johnson was on the field. ***** just don’t make sense. He seemed like he was there for short yardage plays by the snaps he was taking. We picked a guy up from our PS because the lack of trust they have in the guys they drafted and traded for. McDermott says he believes in all his guys, sure looks like it.

I think McK went short left to the 16 but was guarded. By the time Singletary released, Josh was already winding up for the endzone. Even if he does dump it off to motor, he probably barely makes it inside the 15. No one ran a mid field route to the 10. That’s when Allen has to throw it away or take off with it. The INT he’s had are cause for concern because he’s throwing it right to them. Like he doesn’t even see the db idk what’s going on but it’s not good. Allen was in the process of throwing when Gabe made cut, if he cuts inside instead of up that’s an easy catch. The play was there, the LBers could not make a play on the ball, the safety was too deep and Gabe had position on Peterson. Allen will never throw a guy on this team under the bus but it’s obvious Gabe made the wrong read, he cut upfield and headed to more traffic. When Gabe went up it gave Peterson position to make the play on the ball. Edited November 14, 2022 by BananaB

As someone else pointed out in another thread, what's worse is if you look, Singletary was open in the flat for a potential first down gain. Never looked at him. Also Hines 1 catch 9 yds, 0 rushes Shakir 1 catch 6 yds. They are not trying to use these guys. Dorsey has to be less arrogant & try something different. He isn't using all the weapons he's been given. It's Diggs all day & Davis shows up sometimes. Maybe Dorsey panics & let's his emotions take over in the clutch (thinking tablet throw) which only helps amp up sugar high Josh & this is what you get? I don't know. But need to really change it up. Eastport bills
This is an indictment of our coaches. When are they going to incorporate this guy into the offense? Are they so deluded as to their focusing on Josh running the ball as our offensive approach? They are putting too much on this guy and he is forcing throws and if they don’t come up with some nuance in our attack, we’re finished. Is our playbook written in Latin? It's inexcusable not to use the weapon that we traded for. Zero touches on offense, less than freaking Duke Johnson, is just crazy, especially since we were up by 2 possessions for a large portion of the game. That's where you lean on the running game. No way Beane traded for him just to be a punt returner.

We were marching down the field in OT, Allen has a big run, call the TO. Have him calm down and breathe. It seems straightforward to me. colin
12 hours ago, HappyDays said: Because this coaching staff slow plays everything, often to the detriment of the team. They slow play injuries, rookie playing time, obvious necessary roster changes, etc. It took them a whole season and a half of Zack Moss clumsily running into his lineman's butt before they recognized that he isn't a viable player. They've given Shakir very little playing time despite obviously being more dependable than McKenzie. Currently they're limiting Cook's snaps in favor of Singletary even though it has become obvious over the last two weeks that he gives our offense more juice. And yes the latest slow play is keeping Hines out of the offense, even though it is obvious that we need more speed out of our backfield. This is presumably because... they don't think he knows the playbook well enough yet? That's the only possible reason I can imagine, and personally I think it's stupid. Every other top offense has someone that can catch the ball 5 yards past the LOS and turn it into a 20+ yard gain. That element of our offense has never been a thing in the Josh Allen era, so Beane goes and gets that element and the coaches refuse to use him. Really frustrating. this is the story here. our FO is conservative in how it makes adjustments. they will change to "be aggressive" and just go for it willy nilly in the redzone, but when it falls apart (like this season) they are too slow to adjust that overly aggressive nature on O. on D, they never get out of nickel, and most of all as per above they are sooo slow to change player time. hines did look pretty slick the one time he got the ball vs minni, but we decided a 3 score lead is a great time to not have RBs involved in the game. Yet, here we are two games in and he has just TWO TOTAL TARGETS!!! Meanwhile, the 49ers acquire Christian McCaffery from the Panthers and he has made an IMMEDIATE impact. They actually *gulp* GET HIM TOUCHES AND UTILIZE HIM ON OFFENSE!!! I feel as if this is an utter failure by the Bills to take advantage of the skills of a player that they obviously coveted as Beane said in an interview that he had wanted him in Buffalo before. I do not know if it is McDermott or Dorsey, but someone has to answer for what I feel is a criminal underuse of a talent we so badly need. Two targets through two games is pathetic! What's it matter if it's Hines or the other 2? They're like coffee cups. Interchangeable. Hines has to learn a little language is my guess. Then Allen will outrush 3 of them.

34-78-83
Hines is a situational only type of player on any NFL team he's going to play for. That's it. Simple reality of it. He's a better fit for our offensive style than Zack Moss was, and we didn't pay much for him. The problem is the misinterpretation of the trade and somehow equating and comparing it to a CMC type of trade. Hines is a bakup rb who has great speed and quickness and can play some slot wr, and return punts well. It was a fine trade for what it really was, and hopefully Hines will earn his way to 10-12 snaps per game and making a play here and there.
