Done deal

Id be pretty surprised if he doesn’t sign with us at this point.

A Giants reporter tweeted out about how he thinks OBJ is going to Buffalo, and he doesn’t blame him, but went on to say some stuff about the Giants..

OBJ responded that he’s never wanted to win more for a city than for NY and echoed the reporters sentiment.. but never questioned the conclusion that he’s signing with the Bills.

Lest we forget that the Bills SHOULD be undefeated as well. Would the birds be undefeated if they had the injuries the bills dealt with?

I was going to say that it seems like the Eagles have been incredibly healthy. They’ve also been very fortunate in the turnover battle.

FL, I think that’s just Yates trying to create speculation.  I don’t see OBJ going there.  Would you?  Who would you rather have as you’re QB.  Cousins or Allen?  I rest my case.  I know the Vikings have a 6-1 record, but I don’t see them keeping up this pace.  They are the only decent team in the NFCN.

They still face us, Dallas, and the Giants.  I know the Giants are winning a lot of nail biters, but Daboll amd Schoen are building a solid culture, and probably will take a step back next year.  They can purge high end contracts, get the most they can out of Barkley.  Give these two guys two more years, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see an ascension like we did in 19.  Eventually, they probably will get another QB.

I'm guessing he still is most likely coming here if Beane can make the $ work.  It doesn’t look like he’s trying to break the bank with the remainder if the season.  He’s eying a $20 mil. Contract next year.  That won’t be with us.  If he gets a second ring, he’ll get lots of suitors.  That’s my two cents.

It’s hard to argue we wouldn’t be better with him especially as McKenzie has had his ups and downs this year, but is falling back into his previous role as the gadget guy.  He’ll get maybe 50% third WR slot duty for now.  Shakir will slowly, but surely get more WR reps, but McD may not feel he’s ready for full time duty.

I wouldn’t mind beating Odell and the Vikings in the super bowl

Before I got here and read these I thought that if the Bills beat the Vikes next week and go to 8-1 in the next two Sundays it’s hard to see him not ending up here.

It’s either going to be the most money or best team that gets him.  If we want him it would help to keep lighting up the scoreboard.

Have to be honest part of me could care less where a guy less than a year off an ACL injury signs, especially a 30 year old just off an ACL injury.

Hasn't played a full season since 2016 and hasn't caught more than 5 tds since 2019.

yeah, but he will sign somewhere, it will be a big story, and he was beneficial to the Rams for more than just what he did, but also what defenses were worried about what he was going to do.

If he wants money then go to the Cowboys or Giants. If he actually wants to win the only contending teams are the Bills, KC, Eagles imo. I would say those 3 teams have a combined 95% chance to win the Super Bowl and the rest of the league combined has 5% or less

Those 3 are in a league of their own.

I know a lot can happen and a team's fate can rest in a single quirky play in a single game, but...

I firmly believe the SB will be played this year between the Eagles and the winner of the KC/Bills playoff game.

That makes sense.  Rather see him here than in KC but all the hype is wearing thin.   I suppose its natural with as big as him name is, just not sure the name hype matches the field hype at this point.

I don’t know how much OBJ has left in the tank or how productive he’ll be in the playoffs for anybody.

But, there’s a scenario where he is super productive for somebody. If he signs a one-two year deal it will be with either KC, BUF, or PHI.

I think it’s worth spending a couple bucks just to hedge our bets that we don’t have to deal with a productive OBJ on any of the other two rosters come January/February.

If he signs a big money long term deal coming off of his 2nd ACL injury, I am sure Jerry Jones will be the one to give it to him.

if we were expecting him to come and a carry the offense with a really good def (DAL situation) id agree, but here hes being asked to eat up some yards that Diggs and Gabe open up for him... plus getting Diggs in the slot would be ENORMOUSSSSSSSSSSS. weve been missing cole whether ppl want to admit it or not. having diggs in the slot helps keep the chains moving easier imo

I'm incredibly confused by what they mean by "cleared?"  Everything I've read and heard is that he wouldn't be ready to play until the end of November at the earliest.  Is he now "cleared" to start basic football duties, but will still require more physical conditioning?  Or is he really cleared to start practicing and play once he learns a playbook?

As of 4:07 eastern time it's now officially time to bring in OBJ.  Diggs is  our ONLY wr.  Davis has disappeared and is way too inconsistent.  Knox after today is averaging 2 catches for 26 yards. McKenzie and Shakir are invisible. And why we waste a roster spot for Kumerow is silly.

While this may have some merit let’s not forget that this Oline was really bad today. The Jets dline looked super! Josh was uncomfortable all game. Also no real attempt to establish a hood running game. And Josh was off today, big time

Bills need to sign OBJ. Make a hard push to get it done. Be aggressive. Gabe Davis isn’t cutting it as a #2 WR. They don’t have anyone outside of Diggs making plays right now.

Get OBJ and hopefully he can take that #2 spot some time in December.

Give him a 2yr deal so we have him for next season too. Diggs + OBJ would be a nice 1-2 punch. We need it.

Cleared in this context is meaning enough to pass a physical

Dear Bills FO:

Admit you made a mistake in how you addressed WR.  The penance is having to roll the dice on a multi-year deal for OBJ.

Davis isn’t it.  Doesn’t seem capable of being it.  So we really shouldn’t be worried about his target share or future contract right now.

If OBJ hits, Davis is slotted as the deep threat WR3 he should be on a pass heavy offense, and we’re all good.

Stop ****ing around with Josh Allen because we need high end players at every position on defense AND a 9 man DL rotation.   Keep the rotation, figure out the rest around Tre, Milano and Taron.  If Poyer or Edmunds $$ has to go to OBJ next year, so be it.

Maybe you're right, maybe you're not. I think right now this is a Josh Allen thing and not a Gabe Davis thing. After that game and those horrendous throws he made I cannot make Gabe Davis a scapegoat. He had a drop. Josh needs to reexamine himself and get back to fundamentals. Fix the playcalling too bc it's a problem. Still super doubtful OBJ ever wanted to come here, this game bearing no consequence on any of it.

I have never once thought OBJ coming here was realistic but I’d say at this point, if it can happen…I hope it does.

We need a reliable player in the slot.  Regardless of peoples personal options on Beasley he was so clutch underneath getting open.
