Tua or Jones or Allen.

which one gives Dorsey the fastest track to HC?

he wasn’t going anywhere. The ONLY wild card was University of Miami.

If Carucci is to be believed, there were several other taems in hot pursuit.  It wasn't a foregone conclusion.

Now who do we hire at QB coach 👀

The assistant QB coach under Dorsey I’d imagine will get the promotion.  Shea Tierney(sp?)

Yeah, Tierney moves up to QB coach (I doubt Daboll taps him for OC).  And maybe Webb moves to assistant QB coach?

You are exactly making my point....you seem satisfied with the status quo and defending it like it can't be better....

1. When you have set offensive franchise records two years in a row and have been near the top of the league in offensive yards and scoring, the "status quo" in offensive philosophy seems kinda like the way to go.

2. Keeping continuity in offensive philosophy does not mean in any way that it can't also be even better

Congrats Ken.

It's a good deal that things won't drastically change going into 2022.

Daboll was great for the team but if I had to criticize him it was the way he strung play calls together.

At times it seemed to hampered momentum.

Here's hoping that Ken Dorsey has seen that sitting in the wings and can be an improvement.

Happy to keep him...I think. I would like to see some experienced coaches around him. A lot of QB coach experience but none running the entire O. We have an opening at OL coach so ideally we can find a really good one that can be an asset to Dorsey.

St. Doug is available, "obviously"...

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.  This move is a good one.  It gives continuity, but I suspect Dorsey will add wrinkles of his own, making us look less predictable next year.

Josh has a great relationship with Dorsey too so that is a big plus on the communication side of it.

As I’m not involved in high level Bills meetings I have a question.   Concerning the open O-line and QB coach positions, would those hires be his decisions alone or would he run it by McBeane for them to decide?

I would imagine a collaboration with McDermott in the lead for the OL coach and Dorsey having a bigger say in his QB coach.

And yet a Single actual interview request.

sorry people were making a story were there isn’t one.

This will keep Josh happy, but who knows if Dorsey is ready for this job.  Did he ever sit down with Daboll and talk about the thought process Daboll used to call plays?

Fingers crossed this all works out, and Dorsey's offense isn't so predictable that opposing DCs can scheme up ways to stop it.

Dunno...thought some fresh takes would be good....

Dorsey is fresh takes but it's also generally continuity of system.

They're going to change verbiage but probably widely keep the same system Josh has been operating over the last 4 years with some individual differences sprinkled in from Dorsey.

The system was never the problem with Daboll.  He absolutely has a brilliant offensive mind.  I often questioned his playcalling and, by virtue, his instincts.  And the hope is that Dorsey, who played QB at a pretty high level at one point, has better instincts for playcalling than Daboll.  Like maybe don't hand the ball off 3 times in a row and then punt on your first possession out of the half on the road in a divisional round @ KC.

Nice to see the FO listen to its #17 meal ticket in the locker room!

this is also IMO a hire that will showcase Dorsey for a potential NFL head coaching gig. It's a great hire for he and the Bills imo.  What potential OC wouldn't want to work with #17 right?

Josh Allen being the Bills meal ticket YEP. They wouldnt have hired anyone to upset the #17 gravy train that'd have been a stupid move. Vibe with #17 and grow off of each other. WIN WIN

Yeah I’m sure the QB coach has no idea on the thought process of the OC and have never discussed this in the past

Sarcasm aside,  I don’t want Dorsey to be a carbon copy of Daboll.  He should  develop his own brand and not try to be the next Daboll.

I don't know I've seen Chad Hall after plays, guy goes nuts.

I do wonder if Dorsey will stay on the sidelines or go up into the booth. Daboll was on the sidelines until he got sent up there after yelling at Allen.

No he got sent up there cause he wasn’t seeing the field correctly and would call **** plays. Once he got in the box he was considerably better
