Da webster guy
Good for McD/Beane. Social media and Bease are a bad mix. He gets and spreads misinformation and was becoming a distraction to the team, even insulting the mafia. My money is on Davis. Davis has two years left after this one of a 4th round rookie deal. He is here until at LEAST the end of the 2023 season. Honestly based on age and contract I think Beas was always likely gone after this year. The vaccine thing makes it more likely. As for usage last night... especially first half the Bills used some funky formations and personnel groupings to confuse KC. Big personnel that they passed out of etc and I that had something to do with his lower than usual usage. 6 7

I think that Davis has plenty of raw talent, and he made some big plays last season, but I’ve often questioned if Davis is as good as many assume. He hasn’t become a consistent force in this offense, and owes some of his early success to playing with Allen. There’s isn’t much to complain about after a win like that, but we are typically a better offense when Beasley is productive. My money is on Davis. Gabe Davis is a rookie under contract until 2023. He’s here regardless so not sure what you mean. Beasely is under contract through 2022, and has a dead cap of $1.5 mil., meaning in 2022, it costs us $4.6 mil. to keep his services as the $1.5 is a sunk cost. To me, Beasley’s skills are worth $4.6 mil., so he’s not going anywhere. There might be an argument, the Bills are using others a little more and he is responding by turning off his social media. I don’t see with a SB run scenario this year and maybe the next us moving on from him. A little overreaction. Sending a message is possible though. I may not like his vocal stance on the health issues, but he is a helluva slot WR. The exception is if we decide a WR is just too valuable not to draft where we are at and we go younger. That’s possible, but don’t forget we may not retain Sanders even as good as he’s played. Something to think about in Feb./March, not now. I don't think you're being fair to Davis. - He is not a consistent force in this offense because of Diggs and Sanders. No receiver short of the NFL's elite would overtake those two. - You could say that Allen owes some of last year's success to Davis. I'll say that they teamed for some exceptional receptions. However, I agree that a productive Beasley helps us to be the best that we can be. 3 3

atlbillsfan1975
I kept trying to find Beasley when they would show the sideline towards the end of the game. I saw Diggs having fun and cutting up with the other guys. At some point if I am Cole I got to ask myself, “why not enjoy this with my team?”. I actually like that he took down his Twitter, there will be plenty of time to get on there and share his beliefs. He of all people knows how hard it is to be on a NFL team that is capable of winning the Super Bowl Edited October 11, 2021 by atlbillsfan1975 2

Much of the underneath stuff that could have gone to Beasley or Davis went to Moss and Singletary last night. Knox’s development impacts the amount of targets other guys get, but I believe there’s room for a slot guy, in addition to a pair of great outside guys.
Straight Hucklebuck
Maybe the fans can cheer for him harder at the next home game. But snap out of it, 2 games ago you had 11 catches for 99 yards. And sorry Sanders and Knox are more explosive now. 1 2
maryland-bills-fan
Beasley has been a go-to guy for much of the season so far. The Chiefs had to be planning on taking that consistent 4-8 yard catch away from us. Few plays from him meant that they were defending someone who wasn't there for most of the night. Good idea.

My guess (strictly a guess) was, with Beasley off the field and passing to our backs out of the backfield, we invited their cornerbacks and safeties to drop deeper and open up the middle of the field. Of course, they didn't see Knox coming. What a night. 🍻 Cheers!

oldmanfan
The emergence of Knox and Sanders is taking throws away from both Beasley and Davis. As teams try to take Knox and Sanders out of the equation, the throws to Beasley and Davis will return. Only difference is that Davis is handling it like a pro. 5 2

I just think there’ll be plenty of games where the third receiver gets more chances when the situation calls for it. I don’t think it’s a matter of not having a place for that third receiver like some seem to believe. As you mentioned, we just went with the backs last night instead.

SCBills
Knox is turning into a legit top tier TE. Diggs is obviously a top tier WR. Sanders is looking like the best #2 in the NFL. Moss is a receiving weapon out of the backfield. Only so many footballs to go around for the rest: Singletary, Beasley & Davis. I like Cole, and respect him for standing up for what he believes - but he took it too far by making it “Cole vs Some Fans”. I don’t really worry about replacing him in the future… I’m more hoping we have an Emmanuel Sanders replacement ready to go if he steps away after the season via draft, FA or development. I’m not sure Davis is a high end #2, but I love him as a #3 for us down the line. 4 3

We ran some wild formations last night with some weird personnel grouping. That is why Beasley wasn’t being used. Not a huge Beasley fan these days. I have no doubt Cole is pissed. But I don’t think anybody was sending him any message. At least not today. If he wants to keep catching passes from Josh, he needs to get over this starting yesterday.

Now we have Diggs, Sanders, Davis, Knox….. Someone has to see less balls. He’s still part of our offense and will make plays for us. Just not as many as over the last few years. I don't see the issue. 3
