  1. Well, obviously we will never know for sure what would have happened, but I just can’t see crucifying Bass for losing the game because of missing that FG.
  2. That missed kick didn’t cost us the game. The offense needed to score a touchdown on that last drive or wind the clock down a lot more than they did. Bass makes the kick and ties the game, then Mahomes leads the Chiefs down the field for a game winning FG in the final seconds. Our depleted defense couldn’t stop the Chiefs.
  3. Thanks for posting this. Awesome piece! Thanks again.
  4. Bills - 41 Jags - 13 41 points per week become the norm from now until the bye week.
  5. I’m thinking what happened with Josh last night could turnout to be a blessing in disguise. During this offseason we have heard a lot of talk from him about wanting to change his ways from trying to do too much and putting himself and the team in harms way with foolish pass attempts leading to INT’s, reckless runs where he takes unnecessary hits and costly fumbles where he fails to protect the ball well enough. So last night he immediately showed talk is cheap and carrying through with these assurances and promises is hard to do. It’s not as easy a flipping a light switch. Now after this prime time embarrassment where he single-handedly lost the game for the team he hopefully will see that you just can’t talk about changing. Better this happen now and he rights his own ship than he coasts along well into the season being somewhat true to his word, but not totally and the Josh we saw last night rears it’s ugly head in a really important game late in the season. So hopefully what happened last night will finally be the last straw to make JA do what it takes to be true to his words. If so it might just be exactly what the doctor ordered.
  6. I’d take me some Roschon Johnson please if he is still there.
  7. For me it’s definitely improve the OL. Can’t just keep changing coaches, bringing in aged talent and expect miracles. This draft needs to be focused on the offense. Hopefully our draft slot won’t hamper us too bad in this effort. If the Bills can infuse a couple new, young studs to the OL, add another WR weapon or two and really commit to the run game we will all see a resurgence of the offense. I’m not that worried about the D. Even with Poyer likely gone that spot can be filled without using an early draft pick. Assuming Vonn comes back healthy and stays so for the entire season the DL will be markedly better without having to change personnel. With the DL becoming a force again the rest of the defense will thrive. Personally, I like our chances next season which I know appears to be contrary to most of the talk on this board right now. We have one of the best QB’s in the league and with that you are always in the conversation. Go Bills!
  8. Any Sunday day game that’s not blacked out in your area because it’s available on another network. No Sunday Night game or games on Thursday, Saturday or Monday.
  9. I’m old enough. Great song back in the day.
  10. That comparison definitely came to mind for me watching the game from an instant impact point of view. I was at the Bills - Broncos game for Bennett’s debut. He was in the Denver backfield all afternoon reading havoc just like Miller was Thursday night. Just hope that similarity continues.
  11. Bet those all black helmets and uniforms will be pretty hot to play in for those early season games in NC. Best saving them for late season.
  12. Hey, took some guts to come out and say what he said, putting a lot of the blame onto himself. Easily could have stayed more tight lipped about it like everyone else. He surely wasn't the best CB we ever had, but gave it his all and despite several tries nobody beat him out for the job in four seasons.
  13. Excellent summary. Thanks for taking the time to do it and share with the board. Totally agree with all of you points and opinions. Barring some serious injuries to key players this team is definitely SB bound!
  14. I can’t agree with you there. Bernard was a captain and big time team leader at Baylor. Not all these kids can be those type of individuals. I had no problem with Cook’s interviews save for the one draft night, which was understandable given the distractions later explained. He seems like a good young man who has his head screwed on straight. Love his desire to come in and help the team win it all and not afraid to say that. No red flags there IMO.
  15. That organization definitely needs some serious house cleaning.
  16. Definitely seems like a great young man and a good fit for the organization. Shouldn’t really expect anything less from the Bill’s FO.
  17. Still only one problem Spags. Josh Allen craps bigger than your QB!
  18. Yeah, we’ll see I guess pretty soon enough. Personally I’m not sure why so much appeal for this guy. It’s not like he went up against the stiffest of competition playing for Cincinnati. I’d say Elam faced better WR’s playing in the SEC.
  19. CB is clearly a high priority need IMO given the uncertainty to Tre’s situation early in the season, but doesn’t need to be filled at #25 unless a real stud falls that far. Personally I think the need for more speed at RB or WR trumps CB for that first pick. Speed is such a lethal weapon and you can’t teach it. Lord knows our recent losses to KC are more than adequate evidence for Beane or any other FO personnel. I hope they go in that direction in Round 1 and address the CB situation on day two.
