It's strange to feel unsettled after a 35-0 division road win

This team will go as far as Josh Allen can take it.  When he came in for those couple of series in the last preseason game it looked like he would start the season without any rust to knock off.

I'm as big of a Bills' homer as any here, but it's hard to ignore that Josh just isn't playing very well right now.  Admittedly, he set the bar pretty high last season and if he were to have a little bit of regression this year I wouldn't be too upset.  After all, he had an MVP level season last year.  At this point though he has regressed more than a little bit.

I'm not sure what the issue is.  The entire offense is just out of sync right now.  From Daboll to the O-Line to Josh and his WRs, it's just not clicking yet.  Things won't get any easier next week.  That Washington defense is tough and they can get after the QB.

If Josh and the offense can find their rhythm and keep the defense playing at this level, the Bills are going to be very formidable.  Let's hope things start to click for the offense soon.  It's really strange to watch the Bills win 35-0 and feel unsettled about it.

I keep trying to feel good about completely manhandling Miami, but I agree with you. If this were a better team we played, we may have squeaked out a win at best. This O line better get it's act together just as fast as Allen with WFT coming to town. I'm none too threatened by Heinicke, but this O line needs to come to play as well as Allen getting his mojo back. If we had this defense last year, we'd probably have our first lombardi

Miami is not an elite team and our offence (Allen) did not have their best game.  We need to get better on offence if we expect to beat the elite teams in this league.

Just responding to ur first sentence,  I think this teams D will be dominant.

A dominant D can also carry a team. Allen looked rough at times today for sure. But even with a bit of an off gm we routed them on the road. We'll see. I feel fine, confident. Just gotta work out some kinks.

Look at it this way we just blew out a division rival literally not letting them score a point and scoring 35 points ourselves without our franchise player not doing that great

What’s more likely that Josh isn’t good this year or that Josh is going to round out into form you tell me

I am not sure what it is, but “out of sync” is the right phrase. I think it is probably a combination of a few new players, some new scheme stuff, problems on the O line (at least against Pittsburgh), and Josh just not playing quite well.

For me, the number 1 issue is I just don’t think the coaches are in the right groove— like they are trying to figure out their identity.  They totally botched the game plan against Pittsburgh. And I am not sure about the passing schemes they had going out there today— should have been a heavy dose of Knox And Beasley with their weak LB’s, not E. Sanders.

We just put 35 offensive points up on a good defense and played mediocre on offense. What you guys are feeling is the pressure of increased expectations. This team can win and win BIG without Josh Allen playing his best and that’s a good thing. I have no doubt Josh and the O will round into form. We took a lot of teams by surprise last year and now they are game planning specifically for what we want to do. I have confidence that Josh and the O will adjust and hopefully we will have a more balanced O so Josh doesn’t have to be exceptional every game and can lean on our running game and D. I’d absolutely like to see the O more in sync and I think as the season progresses we will get there. Enjoy the W!

It's kinda ironic that the 2 players most fans (including myself) had issues with last year are playing very well. Devin & Dawson are balling, where others are struggling.

Fully agree with you.  They probably should have stopped thinking 2021 was just an extension of 2020 and realized that every season is different.   Josh will be fine, and the Bills will still win the division.

I've seen Brady/New England drop a couple early in the year and make me think they've fallen off, then win the Superbowl. The season is a process-- nobody wins the Superbowl in September. It's about what we will be three months from now. No need to overreact.

Delicate nasty nancies leaking into their panties!  LOL!    😃

I'm glad they won and it was fantastic to see the defense swarm the Phins and crush them today.  I'm just waiting for the Josh Allen from last season to show up. Until that happens, I'm not going to feel good about this team being a legit Super Bowl contender.

It has nothing to do with today's outcome. I mean, it's a fact, Allen has regressed. Almost to the point to where some people thought about putting in Tribuski. Even McDermott knows this otherwise, Tribuski would have came in when the game was out of reach at 28-0. I'm hoping Allen gets a spark from something and soon.

We won in a dominant fashion.  Did we answer all the questions everyone has about the team? No, not even close, but I don't think any team has it all figured out by week 2.

A lot of the jitters I think it's the reaction to these sky high expectations, and I mean the jitters from the players and from the fans.

Doesn't matter to me, I'm confident right now they'll figure it out.

I mean in the threads. I started wondering if people were gonna call for Tribuski. I can't for the life of me understand what Allen's problem is after so many glowing practice reports and his only preseason game where he was on fire

He came out in the second half and put them up 3 scores. They had the ball up 3 scores or more every time after that, the running game kind of takes over then.

It was 14-0 when I got to the airport and lost my bandit stream.  21-0 by the time I was boarding.  Then the Southwest wifi kept going out, but I saw on the highlights that Moss made up for the fumble with two Angry Run candidates for TDs. I will take a 35-0 Squishing of the Fish any Sunday.

I get where the OP is coming from. Josh Allen's level of play through 2 weeks is not winning the SB. But Josh will play better. The offense will be better. This OL is still learning to play with each other.

The pass rush looked great against a below average o-line. They are young and should continue to play better.

Frazier coached a hell of a game. Dropping the kid in a zone-blutz scheme multiple times was great. Watching a 6'6" DE rookie capably run a zone blitz was beautiful.  Multiple blitzes from the secondary level. All masterful. Well done Frazier.

PS Edmunds is still awful. Watching him get blocked 10 yards downfield while our safeties and corners are making beautiful form tackles is really sad. I don't think Edmunds will ever be a game changing star at MLB.

If not for the Chiefs I would feel pretty settled about this team's Super Bowl chances, even with Allen's uneven play so far. The problem is the Chiefs are in fact there and we need to keep up with their offense to have a chance against them. I'm sure that's the source of a lot of Bills fans' anxiety right now.

When you sign a huge contract everything is magnified. Josh thinks he needs to do more to justify it. The coaching staff thinks they need to get the ball in his hands more because they’re paying him that much. The fans need to see him make big plays to feel satisfied with spending that much money. The national media keeps repeating the contract amount comparing it alongside his play. It’s a lot more pressure.
