Falcons fire HC Dan Quinn and GM Thomas Dimitroff

Ryan isn’t the problem at all and he hasn’t regressed. Terrible staff and some of the players, not Ryan, have quit on Quinn. The right coach could make that team very respectable very fast. Eric Bieniemy makes a ton of sense. Give Ryan a HC that is offense minded.

They should tank for Trevor.

Right with you GB. It’s bad enough eventually if healthy Tua is probably going to be good.  I don’t mind competition, but would much rather see Lawrence in ATL.  Let the NFCS deal with him twice a year.  I know the Bengals aren’t good yet, but Burrow is going to be good at some point.  He’s already showing signs of it.  The Jests deserve everything that comes to them not necessarily because of their players, or fans at all.  Their owners are morons and keep making the same mistakes over and over again.  At least the Pegulas had their Mulligan with Wrex and they learned from it.  This team from top to bottom is set up to be very good to excellent for a decade.

It was so cool hearing a replay of Favre on his Tuesday spot on NFLR stating Allen should be in the drivers seat for the AFCE like Brady was for a very long time.  He also mentioned that our fans deserve it.  Then he made a comparison for anyone who listened to The Who,e show it would be nice if Buffalo had their next Kelly.  I know he is polarizing, but is there another QB you wouldn’t mind having a cold one with like Favre.  He just seems like he’s one of the guys.  Just my two cents.

You probably watch the Falcons more than I do but from the little I have watched Ryan, he strikes me as an above average QB who needs a very good team and coaches to succeed.  Not one to lift the team by himself.

At this point,  the Falcons may be better served to re-set and start with a new coach who grooms his own signal caller.

The Jets are some pretty stiff competition.

Feel bad for Darnold, hopefully he can find success elsewhere.

Long term sure. I think there is talent on the roster. This team should be a lot better than they are. I wouldn’t be surprised if they win 8 games this year and don’t have a top 5 pick.

Mind boggling that it took so long. Matt Ryan should go too.

Matt Ryan has been surrounded by so much talent but has always underperformed. I live in ATL and have been constantly telling people that the Falcons have a QB problem

Quinn and Ryan had a 28-3 4th quarter lead on Belichick and Brady in the Super Bowl.

Both their careers would look a lot different if they just played Martyball from there

That Superbowl choke job was the beginning of the end for Quinn IMO.

That fancy new Atlanta dome has the ugliest playing surface, at least for this TV viewer.  It looks like old worn high traffic green carpet. Ugly

Lately, I enjoy watching the Falcons lose. Franchise QB and all, Julio Jones AND Ridley. Useless defense.

Maybe they should teach the 2 Bama receivers to play defense. Never mind.

Arthur Blank is probably too nice of a man to be a great owner.

An a-hole like Bob Kraft would have fired Quinn and not let Kyle Shanahan out of the building.

He waited about 2 years too long on both Mike Smith and Dan Quinn.

As systems get so much easier to implement I think head coaching changes will happen even more frequently in the NFL............it's not quite like the NHL where they take the coach's temp every day and can fire them at any time........but the automatic 3 years and multiple down years after a good year before firing thing is probably going to be a thing of the past.

A certain former Bills owner used to avoid buying out coaches contracts similarly

Living in Atlanta I can say..............nobody I know cares or is even aware. I’ll wait at the park tomorrow to see if it comes up, but I don’t have ALL DAY!

NOW, if UGA or Georgia Tech makes a move, THAT would be news,

I know everyone wants Tennessee punished, and they should be, but what is going to happen when Tennessee has a bunch of injuries from not practicing for two weeks?  That would also be a bad look for the NFL.

True about Ralph.   But I don't think that's the case with Blank........he has just been let down by a lot of people in that organization.

Agree to disagree. He's had talent around him on and off.

I don't think he's the problem there at all. Their defense is most of the problem. Having said that, he's 35, and they could consider bringing in the next guy.

Matt Ryan to SF would Make sense to me.

He is better than jimmy G.

History with Kyle shanahan. (Let’s try to forget the SB collapse)

Another possibility would be the Raiders. Mayock is a believer in Ryan, and Chucky can’t stop himself from collecting QBs.

Having said that, Carr is currently playing pretty well for them. I see no Peterman sightings in the immediate future, barring injury

I don't know what else they expect Carr to do to keep the job in LV. He's completing 73% of his passes, has thrown for 1,442 yds, 11 TD's, and 1 INT through 5 games. He also just led them to their 1st win against the Chiefs in Arrowhead since 2012. He's turning into Gruden's new Rich Gannon.

Had the Falcons not blown that Super Bowl to the Patriots in that 4th quarter with some insane play calling then he most likely is given more time.  Owner had no choice and this was the right decision.

Gase will go.  Patricia still has the right stuff imho.

Patricia is completely inept. The dude took over a 9-7 team and has destroyed them with no signs of turning it around. He just ended an 11 game losing streak only to start another one...

His teams set records for consecutive games of losing after having double digit leads. They did it again in the Saints game turning an early 14-0 lead into another L.
