Other than just saying play better, what suggestions do you guys have to get this defence to get stops and get off the field? We are taking a DE in the first round in 2021. LB discipline needs to improve - can’t have Edmunds biting and overpursuing on every fake. But I am not worried. Two years ago we faced the same situation and McD was able to fix it in-season. We literally allowed them to Run today in order to take away play action passes and the screen game. It was a very modern strategy and requires (again) having an offense that can produce. Everyone saying Fitz just got the ball out quick. No pass rush from front four all day. I think LA got away with at least three holds but for the most part the Bills front 4 was dominated. Lack of a preseason has hurt a lot...highest scoring first 2 weeks in NFL history says a lot that it isn't just us struggling to catch up to offenses... Teams are using 3-4 receiver sets, dynamic tight ends, receiver RB's... If the Bills want to compete this year they must part ways with their number one pick to a bottom dweller for a lockdown corner... Then the D can settle down and play ball without having to chase every receiver open over the middle... Maybe he should consider taking over the defensive playcalling again or trade off back and forth with Frazier to confuse the other team. We play much better offenses this year, so I expect to see us drop lower in the defensive standings. But hopefully we can be resilient and get a key stop now and then.
