He owes nobody anything. He had a neck issue in camp, another one here from a seemingly inoccuous incident. If the Doctors tell Micah Hyde it might be time to hang them up he should hang them up. In the meantime, even if it doesn't come to that, Jaquan Johnson now has an audition for a contract extension. I would expect Poyer to play more centre field and Johnson to go mainly into Poyer's normal role in the box. Love Micah, want to see him play for this team as long as possible… but I would like to see what Jaquan can do in a big-time situation, I think he’s up to the task. 2
Brand J
Jaquan Johnson is limited by size and athleticism, but has good instincts and has impressed every time he’s stepped on the field. Ed Reed thought he’d be great at the NFL level, so the time to prove himself may start Sunday against the fastest pair of wideouts in the league. 3
1st&ten
I think the Bills are pretty good about taking care of their players, so they won't risk anything. Worst case scenario the Dolphins beat us because of our injuries but they'll have to come to Buffalo later in the season. Remember last year when the Patriots made us look stupid in Buffalo---what happened in the rematch.
Joe Ferguson forever
second opinions from respected experts are almost always a good idea. Consultations are among the most valuable and least expensive "tests" in medicine. He's wise to do this regardless of what the first opinion was. 1

Eichel got a 2nd opinion. As I said earlier this 2nd opinion may just be precautionary by Hyde due to it being a spine injury. He probably wasn’t comfortable with the Buffalo doctors. I'll delete my account if Hyde is getting a second opinion because he got a good report and just wants to double check it, lol Remind me to never be in a foxhole with you! You’d probably pull your best French imitation and surrender. Until you hear anything, it doesn’t hurt to e positive. No sense in jumping straight to the worst option possible. Dane Jackson being carted off and then being able to leave the hospital on his own. Lot’s of worst case scenario’s on that post. Logic
7 minutes ago, Einstein said: That really is worst case scenario. Dolphins fans will become insufferable. It's fine. The Dolphins don't pose any real threat to Buffalo's dominance of the division. Their defense is nowhere close to ours, and Tua is nowhere close to Allen. The 2022 Dolphins are just the drought era Bills, occasionally stringing together a few wins, getting some media attention, and saying "BRING ON THE PATS!". The Bills, meanwhile, are what the Pats were then -- an inevitable machine that just grinds onward, quietly crushing opponents, taking their souls, and showing them what pretenders they are. Let them and their fans be excited. The AFC East is the Bills' division for the foreseeable future. 1

Contrast to the Dolphins who are likely only without Byron Jones. I would say the Titans are on par without Landry, Dupree and Fulton. But most would say they’ve been hit hard so far on Defense. That’s not normal (unless you’re the Ravens). The abnormality of our injuries are the cluster effect of them. Multiple in the same levels of the defense. Three DT’s and three Secondary players.

The Bills are still damn good on D especially in the front 6/7. The Dolphins are allowing the most yards per play in the NFL. Bills could legit not punt this game. I don't see under any circumstances where the Fins could match that. Edited September 22, 2022 by Big Turk

frostbitmic
The Bills won't turn the ball over or punt in this game. Tua will turn it over and they'll punt a few times no matter who we trot out there. We'll just give up more points than we have been, but fewer than we'll score. Get better soon Micah and Dane. Until any of the injuries are announced as "long term"/IR, then everyone should relax. Injuries happen, if most or all of these guys all get back within the next 2-3 weeks (potentially Tre as well), then we're fine. We have depth to overcome in the short term, hoping guys can avoid any more injury issues. And for the Dolphins, their starting RT is on IR and their marquee FA signing (LT Armstead) hasn't practiced for 2 days. They could be without both starting tackles, not an easy situation to overcome.
