Slippery Rubber Mats
Jerry, I don't know if you'll read this but if you do a guy who may or may not be masquerading as a former Bills GM who you probably don't know anyway wishes you luck in Houston. 1

Would have been nice for him to retire a Bill but given his declined abilities it was right decision for the Bills. And I cant fault him for wanting to work some more and collect another paycheck. Good luck to him! 1

wppete
One of the great Bills on defense of all time on IMO. Sad to see him go but at least he goes home to Finnish his career in Texas. Good luck Jerry!

It's the perfect place-holder team. They are basically stashed. 2 5
gobillsinytown
Makes sense..........he's originally from Texas, went to TCU. He'll probably start and I would assume be closer to family. I hope he avoids any injuries for what is probably his last year.
Back2Buff
Can't wait for the pressure win rate to come up with Jerry like it means anything while the QB never ends up on the ground. Jerry has been cooked for a couple seasons now. 1 3

folz
It must suck to have to leave the Bills just as they are peaking, but finishing your career at home isn't bad compensation. Good luck to you Jerry and thanks for all the memories. You will always be considered a true (red, white, and) blue Bill! 3

TheBrownBear
He's born and raised in Houston, so it's a nice homecoming for him and he gets to mentor some young guys with Lovie Smith. Best of luck to you, Jerry. Thanks for the memories and for helping set the foundation for the "process" oriented Bills. You'll always be a Buffalonian in our hearts.
416BillsFan
Wishing Jerry nothing but success. He's a great player who always gave it his all. Hughes is the only player who spanned the hopeless era (-2013), the inept but fun era (2014-2016), the we-may-be-onto-something era (2017-2019) to the present legit contender period. Hats off to him. 3

Warcodered
I hope the Bills at least say something once it's official, right now it's kind of like he just slipped out the back.
cage
One of my favorite players and all-time best trade! if the Bills win SB this year the ONLY regret that I would have is that he wasn't on the team. Never know, if there's a few injuries maybe we'll make a move for him at the trade deadline to shore up pass rush for "future considerations" Edited May 10, 2022 by cage

Albany,n.y.
One of the best trades in Bills history. Topped only by the draft day trade up for Josh Allen in 2018 and possibly the Bennett trade in 1987.

freddyjj
Sorry to see him go, a pro's pro. On the other hand, back in his hometown. And reunited with Mario Addison for one last hurrah. Sestak4ever
Loved his passion for the game and for the Bills team. Got him in trouble with the officials a few times and I think it lead crews to look away when Hughes was being held or collared by an offensive lineman.
Freddie's Dead
Like Bruce Smith, Andre Reed, Thurman Thomas, and Fred Jackson before him, Jerry Hughes should have retired a Buffalo Bill. Farewell Jerry Hughes, and we thank you.
