Brady tried to engineer his way to Miami: TAMPERING!

There’s 3 wild card teams again so the whole AFC West could make the playoffs.

The North will probably send more than one. I could also see the Colts/Titans both in from South. Bottom line there are going to be some good teams in the AFC who won't make the playoffs. I am pretty confident our division will send only one team... the Bills.

Not even bothered.  Let Brady go to Miami and finish his career in embarrassment when he doesn’t make the Playoffs.

They’ll be shooting their shot by trading away their entire future for an attempted run with Brady and Hill.

Anyone else seen or hear anything about this....I saw this....NESN guy says it's being worked on.

Actually old “talk radio” news the whole idea was they were going to get Brady and Sean Peyton as a package deal.. that’s not happening now and I doubt very much he would leave a rather easy division in the NFC to go back to the AFC East.

I would say it's total nonsense, but the guy who reported it was the guy who knew Brady was going to Tampa when hardly anyone saw that as realistic.

It's a little odd for him of all people to bring it up if he wasn't hearing something about it.

I for one would love it! Better chance of a Brady free Super Bowl with him in the AFC. The NFC is basically a bye for him to the big game.

As far as the "easier path" a guy like Brady wants to be where the action is, playing all the top players. These guys are just wired differently.

Would Brady want to play for Stephen Ross, who's last coach claims he's a racist & cheater in a lawsuit? 🤔

Anyway, article's based on 1 tweet, while acknowledging another tweet saying there's 0 to this. But crazier things have happened.

So the source of all this is a Boston sports journalist, Dale Arnold, who covers hockey for NE sports network.   His claim to fame is that he was one of the first to report that Brady to Tampa was a "done deal".

And even he caveats this one as "they are working on it, but they might not get it done"

Meanwhile another journalist (this one a "National NFL Insider" for the Athletic) says "nothing doing"

So at this point, the rumor is a bit above "just a dude on the Twitters" but not much

Hi.  If the NFC is  "bye" for Brady to the "Big Game" then who repped the NFC in it last season?  How did that happen?

Hello! You're right of course, but Brady has tortured my soul for years now, so I always expect the worst with him (i.e. him always winning no matter what else happens).

Sure, sometimes he doesn't go to the Super Bowl, that's true.

I remember seeing something saying he wanted to go to Miami but that plan got ruined because of Florez's lawsuit.

Sal and Sneaky Joe did a "connect the dots" discussion on WGR just now, and it didn't seem that far fetched anymore. I'll post the audio a little later.

They’d still have 3 gigantic holes on the offensive line…even with Brady they’d struggle…no way he’d leave Tampa for that

3 gigantic holes, but still not as big as Tommy

I guess it all depends on Brady and what he wants. If Brady wants out then there's a decent chance. Otherwise there is never even the slightest discussion or rumor/hint from a guy who obviously has some connection.

As much as I can't stand the guy, the Bucs owe him an accommodation if he requests it. Plus they could probably get Tua and a high pick or just high picks and grab Mayfield.

As far as Bucs players being mad... the NFL is The Tom Brady Show. Sometimes other teams get over for variety and drama, but that just adds to his story. Every hero has to fail here and there, only to prevail in the end. Without trials and struggle there is no glory.

Where there's smoke there's fire. Do I think it happens, no. Is it on the table? It wouldn't shock me in the slightest. Brady gets a chance to stick it to NE 2xs a year. Idk what his other motivation is, but he's been linked there many times it seems like.

Miami is beautiful, it's where I'd live if rich in the nfl and had my choice... but how much nicer can it be than TB? Weird but maybe he wants rings on 3 teams to further the legacy (in his mind)

Go live in downtown Fort Lauderdale.  It blows Miami away.  Nothing like it in South Florida.  Amazing there.

Sal just spoke of this rumor on WGR just now.  It just doesn’t make sense as Brady has been recruiting other players to Tampa.  I’m not buying it.  Just conjecture.

im happy to eat these words of wrong.

The phrase "words of wrong" really resonates with me.

Nah you're just getting hoodwinked.

The guy who wrote that article is probably getting desperate for clicks/views.

Also everyone forgets Tom has been recruiting people to the Bucs..

Brady isn’t stupid enough to go into the AFC arms race at QB.

Wilson and Ryan go to the AFC and then other talent go from NFC to AFG

Frankly, I'd rather play him in the playoffs than in the SB.

The SB just ain't fair w/ that guy anymore. Most of the QB's in the AFC will be in their 1st one, or maybe 2nd.  Brady has 10...or is it 11?  Either way, the experience factor is ridiculous.

Actually that's not true- I want to see us beat his ass and finish him off in the SB.

We're going to beat his ass and then finish him off? I don't think enough of us like him to be that nice

I wouldn't say it is automatic, but you have to admit that the path to the Super Bowl certainly appears to be a lot smoother in the NFC than it is in the AFC.  I know a lot can happen, but there seems to be WAY more competitive teams in the AFC right now comparatively.

It would take both Miamis firsts next year to get this done.  Would you do that for 1 year of a 45 year old and set your franchise back 5 years???

Miami's first pick in the 2022 Draft is Pick #102 (3rd round comp).  I hardly think they got the capital for another big trade.

2 1sts next year.

And bucs go and sign baker.

I think that the 2 2023 1st round picks would be a bad trade for both teams.

Tampa Bay has a great chance to win the Division with Brady and in the weak NFC they could be in the SB.

Why give that up for a couple of next year middling or later 1st's.

On the other hand Miami would get a shot of the playoffs but what will they do at QB after that?

Bridgewater has a fully guaranteed $6.5M 1 year contract and Tua would want out and be done in Miami.

What could they get in a trade for Tua on his last year of his rookie contract next year worth $10M fully guaranteed and no draft picks?

Like I said, stupid for both sides.

Normally, I would agree, but right now it seems possible. If Miami thinks they have a chance of winning the SuperBowl with him, they will give up whatever it takes, and if Brady wants to go, he will be able to force his way out. Players with way less clout than him have been able to push their team into letting them go, there is no way Tampa could stop the GOAT.

Tua, Teddy and Tom?

Why?   Tom plays like crap in Miami!!!

If Tua doesn’t become the same dude we saw at Alabama, it’s time to move on,” former NFL safety Ryan Clark bellowed. Former Dolphins executive Mike Tannenbaum said “it’s reasonable to think by Halloween, [you could see] Teddy Bridgewater taking over for Tua if there are any bumps in the road. Multiple local columnists announced that Tagovailoa is “out of excuses.

With these rumors blowing up, Jeff Howe - a reporter from The Athletic - contacted his sources, only to find out that these rumors were completely false. In fact, Brady is still trying to recruit players to Tampa Bay, which is a pretty good indication that he plans on staying in the city, for at least one more season.
