Does Anyone watch ESPN morning shows anymore?

I was a big watcher of first "Mike & Mike" then later with "Golic & Wingo", Enjoyed the shows very much but when they let Golic go, promoted Greenburg, and changed hosts the network lost me. I was wondering if anyone watches and have you seen how the ratings are. I can't believe for the life of me how GreenburgĀ  has a prominent role on the network.

Also what pregame show do most people watch? Can't stomach Rex, I mainly watch CBS NFL Today.

Thanks!

I was a long time, dedicated Mike & Mike viewer, and havent been back to ESPN in the Morning since they went off air. There isnt a decent ESPN Morning show.

Ā

I've switched over to GMFB on NFL Network as my morning show, and catch up with other sporting news on PTI.

Ā

Once PTI is done, there will be no more commentary shows on ESPN for me. Just college football.

I'm sleeping when they're on.Ā Ā

Ā

I don't watch the pregame shows except for the Bills one that's on 11:30-12:00.Ā  I listen to the Bills pregame on the radio unless I have to go out to watch the game.Ā  When I arrive I watch whatever pregame is on for the Bills games.Ā  I go to OTB for Bills games not on home TV where they have individual booths (carrels) with your own personal TV.Ā  We get around 10 or more Bills games on home TV during the season-more later in the year if the Jets are really doing bad.Ā Ā

I dont bother with those shows or pregames anymore.Ā  At this point in my life I essentially tune out in game commentary as well.Ā  I may turn on GMFB from time to time, but otherwise its just a bunch of regurgitation.Ā

Ā

When it comes to pre-game I am either in church or doing yard work right up until kickoff.Ā Ā  Just not worth the time anymore.Ā

GMFB is the modern inheritor of the old ESPN morning show, highlights and fun commentary.Ā  ESPN is in the business of lecturing us now

Yep, that is the direction they decided to take.Ā  If i want to watch the news I will so I gradually tunedĀ  out/off ESPN and now I have little desire to switch it back on.

I only watch ESPN when games are on.

Ā

On my morning commute (about an hour), I split my listening between three shows:Ā  Local morning show (half music/half talk - I only want talk in the mornings); Free Beer and Hot Wings; and ESPN Radio (Mike/Mike, Golic/Wingo, now Keyshwan, JWill and Max Kellerman).Ā Ā

Ā

I start with whichever station isn't on a commercial break/playing music.Ā  Then I switch the station every time a commercial or song comes on.

Ā

As far as the ESPN morning shows go, Mike/Mike was the best of what's been offered.Ā  I actually like Keyshawn Johnson.Ā  I think he's smart and he's funny - and I enjoy his commentary.Ā  Jason Williams, I could take or leave.Ā  Zubin worked about one day a month.Ā  I've never been a Max Kellerman fan and that hasn't changed since he joined the show.Ā  He spends too much time plugging his other ESPN shows/appearances and bragging about his past appearances.

Ā

I was never - and still am not - a big Mike Greenberg fan, but Mike/Mike was so much better than anything that has followed it.

I used to love the NFL pre and post game shows.Ā  I liked both the network ones and the ESPN show with Berman and Tom Jackson.Ā  Now, I don't watch any of them.Ā  I don't know if it's because of my life situation changing (trying to manage a job, a house, and kids), the decline of the shows, or a little bit of both.Ā  It's also true that a lot of the content is available online.Ā  I have seen a few minutes of the ESPN show with Sam Ponder and she is very easy on the eyes, but then you have to listen to the blathering of Rex.

I really used to like PTI, Mike and Mike I thought was quality, I even enjoyed getup for a little bit. First take wasnā€™t terrible until the agenda became clear and the shtick got old and SAS head hot too big. Itā€™s been a couple years I think since Iā€™ve watched anything on there but live football.Ā
