SCBills
Mort threw it out there on ESPN earlier today. Nothing concrete, sounds more like “hey, this makes sense for both sides”, with a little bit of smoke to it. Convo would start with, at least, Tua, and the ironic #3 pick, back to Houston for Watson. buffalo2218
If that's all the Dolphins are willing to pay for a QB of Watson's caliber, then apparently they think O'Brien is still in Houston Edited January 10, 2021 by buffalo2218

DCofNC
Seems to me they would have to give up Tua, both firsts this year and more to make it happen, can’t believe Houston would be this dumb, but hey, take a look at the recent past..

You don’t trade Pro bowl franchise QBs in their prime, even for like 10 Draft picks. I think once Watson sits down with the Houston brass, this whole thing will blow over.

whatdrought
the dolphins side of this is a nothing burger as of now. The fact that Watson likely wants out is the big story. In order to go to Miami you’d have to have this situation: - Dolphins willing you send Tua, plus at least 1 (more likely two) first overall picks, and some to Houston. - Miami willing to give up on Tua and pay all that plus serious $$ for Watson - Whatever coach Houston hires wanting Tua - Houston willing to trade Watson in conference and risk him being a thorn in their side for years. This seems unlikely to me when there are several NFC teams that would undoubtedly cough up the same compensation for him.

Bangarang
Houston FO has to be well aware of Watsons frustration and include him in the HC search now. I doubt he gets traded. Edited January 10, 2021 by Bangarang
njbuff
Don't buy it for a second, but if by some miracle the Dolphins land Watson, I'd say............ Bring it on. You Squids have to deal with Josh Allen twice a year for 10+ more years, so put that in your pipes and smoke it.
bills6969
Why does the Texans FO need to be such a dumpster fire? Maybe Watt will convince Watson to stay. If he goes to the Fish I’ll be pissed.

Doc
Nick Caserio is not an idiot. If he does trade him he won’t trade him inside the AFC, much less in the division with his old team.
JoshAllenReceipts
God, I sure do hope he does come to the AFC East. Although he is a Losing Momentum QB who cannot play with tempo, (Watson is NEVER in control of a football game, and the vast majority of his fake stats come when trailing by 2+ possessions, he does add some excitement to the division and will no doubt get his butt kicked 2x a year by the great Josh Allen. I want Watson in the AFC East so Josh Allen can demolish him every year. Edited January 10, 2021 by JoshAllenReceipts
Beast
If you are a new GM and you trade away a young, franchise QB like Watson and it doesn't work out immediately your tenure is going to be short and very miserable.
