Which NFL player did you think was going to be good but turned out to be a bust?

I got to thinking the other day, which player did I believe was going to be a sneaky good player in the league that was a complete bust?

For me I was sure that Andy Isabella was going to be a good WR in this league, and he hasn't done jack squat.

Of Bills players they drafted… Sammy Watkins I’m the first to admit after watching him beat Ohio State himself I thought The Bills had a true once every 5 years kinda receiver. Didn’t work out that way.

The league… there’s been so many but I’d go with Peter Warwick from Florida State for people old enough to remember him.

I swear this board has some kind of fetish for undersized white slot receivers

I was excited about Watkins and I wanted him.

What's sad is he clearly has the physical tools to be really good. He just doesn't have it between the ears. Not that he isn't smart, but he is strange, and doesn't have that drive and determination to be great.

He couldn’t stay healthy.  When he was on the field, he produced.

Definitely injury prone. But still, outside of his first two years in Buffalo he produced at a pretty low level even in the games he started. In 2017 and 2019 playing in high powered Rams and Chiefs offenses respectively he started 14 and 13 games but would not have even come close to 1000 yard seasons in either had he played the entire season in either.
