Yes! Posted more often long ago (different name) before kids/life.

 

Fun story… was traveling to Thailand for work maybe 2007.  Laid over in Tokyo airport and struck up a conversation with a guy wearing a Bills hat.  Turns out he was a frequent poster on BBMB that I had traded messages with before!  “You’re Jim123! OMG I’m Bob456!!!”

 

Small world. Bills mafia everywhere.

Been here since 99. Had a different handle the first five years or so. Never even lurked on BBMB actually , though it obviously had its fans. Just wasn’t aware of it.

Started on this message board a long time ago under a different name.  Stopped posting for a bit and once I came back I had lost those credentials.  Signed back up using my current name (not a lot of originality, I know) and posted for a bit.  Found BBMB, and for no particular reason shifted there using this name.  Found my way back after they nuked BBMB.

 

Kinda miss some of the goofy stuff from over there - some of the odd posters like TOSharpie (sp?), some of the posters that didn’t make it to here that are mentioned above, rogue moderators, permabans, etc.  Very happy I found my way back.

Yep. Although my account here was active in 2014, a few years before BBMB shut down, I didn't post much here until BBMB was shut down. 

 

I think at least 70% of the active posters here probably came from BBMB. Miss some of the ones that never made the jump like Savior Edwards! LOL.

The best part of SaviorEdwards was the fact that any other QB would get a “Savior” user who would do the exact same thing. Their profile pic was always an image of Jesus with the head replace to whichever QB was being posted. SaviorTuel might have been the best, shortest lived variant 😂

I'm a transplant. I too was sad and angry they just shut the thing down like they did.

I'm a transplant (strange that when that board shut down this team got good) but I kind of wish I knew about this board all along.  Better moderated and not as many duplicate threads on the same topic.

 

There's been some good posters from the past already mentioned but their was a user named Jay Fiedler who may have been the funniest troll I've ever seen.  He did go too far though like when Fiedler retired he was asking our opinion if god would forgive him for committing suicide especially since he believed Miroslav Satan was the devil in human form.

Garor, I was not but have been on here for years.  You’ll find if you’re new here, most old these guys are pretty cool and knowledgeable as to the NFL and the Bills.  As every board some strong opinions, some dumb ideas, some guys who think building a team is like a Madden game, and occasional trolls.  The mods are pretty good at bouncing the trolls once they are figured out.

 

Anyway, Mahalo! (I’ve been watching Magnum PI lately on The elliptical).

The Bills suck, a bunch of worthless idiots with no athletic ability. I am never buying a ticket to another freaking game. The stadium sucks, the fans suck and the owner sucks.

The coaches are morons and  the cheerleaders are old. Who needs a bunch of old hags cheering? 

The beer is warm and hotdogs are cold. The bathrooms are dirty every stinking week. They should blow that place up....

Next week I will choke that PA announcer with my bare hands, all he does is babble out worthless safety tips, he gives me a headache..

Well, I guess you got your answer.  A lot of BBMB refugees ended up here.   I spent twelve days in an open inflatable raft to cross the ocean and get here.   I was warmly greeted when I came ashore, by a lot of fat, hairy, old guys holding beer cans.

I was over at BBMB and was simultaneously registered here, but mainly lurked. Timelords are always planning for contingencies. It's not nice when they implode the universe without warning, but this is a nice place with knowledgeable folk. As in every universe, alas, there are trolls. Don't feed them.

Frankly, it really was like being refugees.   The culture here was different, we were greeted warmly by some and with a little hostility by a few, as if we were refugees from the Bulgarian mafia or something.   But we learned the ways of our new homeland, and all is good now.   It's a great place for Bills news and discussion.  And the mods do a nice job keeping things in order.

The old board was my primary board and this one secondary before they pulled the rug out from under us.  Thankfully it was a soft landing as I had TBD to fall back on; which has been awesome since.  

 

For some reason though I seem to remember mods diacouraging us from discussing the old board when the migration began.  Making it difficult to reconnect with posters...  But im getting older and I might have that wrong.
