1/15/2023 Wildcard weekend - Dolphins @ Bills - 1st half game thread

We can complain about the calls, but this team is too turnover-happy to take seriously.

No matter what we do, you can be sure people are fumbling, Allen's throwing INT's, & we allow games to be much closer than they should be. Against KC & the Bengals, that'll kill us.

maybe they aren’t as good as we think.. this is not the first time that they have gone to sleep this year and have invited an inferior team back into the game

I think they're definitely good enough...They're just sloppy...They tighten things up and no one can stand with them. But they get too damn sloppy and hurt themselves by making easy plays harder. These things are a matter of inches, and the Bills have constantly lost they're obvious advantage, at least on Offense, by not executing plays that are relatively easy in NFL where execution is concerned.

I do think the Defense is no where near as good as they should be...Giving opponents easy pitch and catch on 3rd downs when you've struggled tackling all year is a weird approach...

Bills aren’t impressive in this one. Too many mistakes, which is a microcosm of the season. What did Beane say? The playoffs expose the warts of the team and with this unit I feel it’s concentration. It’s like they get ADHD and can’t play consistently error free.

17 points in the first half to a 3rd string rookie QB?  Yes we need a new DC desperately.  Leslie’s is not cutting it, should been fired after 13 seconds.

defense has had to defend at least 3 short fields so far.   They’re doing well overall.

Our offense needs to wake the hell up

Refs are doing us no favors. Two challenges needed to be used on obvious calls. The deep catch from Shakir overturned. No holding on the Beasley call. Diggs catches the ball, adjusts but keeps control and taps both feet. Bills get shafted

The Shakir catch being overturned is Shakir’s fault only

You could see the frustration from the players when he yelled field goal.  Coward move by McDermott.

Got to start playing like it's a tight playoff game. Players don't like it then maybe they should Fing start playing better & get it done instead of putting their head coach in this situation, especially the offense.

this is why other fanbases dont take our team seriously.  sure they respect some of the talent,  but they know that the Bills will continue to make boneheaded mistakes at the worst possible time.

just do the basics ffs.   catch the ball.   protect the ball.  the basics.

Doesn't really matter about "other fan bases." There are plenty on here who rail against other fan bases.

Both teams sloppy. Dolphins with 3 or 4 critical drops in 1st Q, Bills self destruct late in 2nd Q.

Dolphins have nothing to lose, now have a smidgen of hope. The first possession of the 3rd Q is key for both teams.
