What can't you believe about the ticket prices?

I went on Ticketmaster yesterday to look. Gave it a passing thought that I might just want to go. The visiting fan sections, you know the ones, like 316, end of upper deck, were the cheapest seats. 272 plus the usual Ticketmaster gouging.  Glad I already bought my seats for the games I’m going to.

I’m going to @Bal, Pit, Cle, NYJ and @Cin (MNF).  Those Cincy tickets for comparison sake were $59.00. Got two tix for $157 including fees.  Of course it’s Jan 2nd when I’m sure it will be nice and toasty.

Poke, a lot of people were a little harsh on you,  it I cannot honestly see that many losses without losing Allen.  Even if we god forbid lost Allen, Keenum can win a few games with this loaded team.

The Titans have regressed, and we should decisively beat them as the Fins and Steelers.  The Steelers have the defense, but their offense is still a ?  Harris turned out to be a very good rookie back, but he’ll face a much more stout defensive interior.  I’ve yet to see Jones or Settle be moved, and Phillips is fast for a large man.

I’ll believe Tua when he proves it against other winning teams.  All the weapons in the world without a great QB can only get you so far.

The next real test which I believe will be a closer game is the Ravens.  They will be back to form from 2019 where they went 12 and 13 personnel, and it will work on a lot of teams.  It won’t gainer us.  We should win, but it will be a tough game.

The two I have no idea are the Chiefs and Packers.  We’ll see how championship ready this team is after week 8.  Between the Ravens, Chiefs and Packers, we’ll know if we are heading towards the SB.

I don't want to make any blanket statements or anything, but....

Every single Titans fan, without exception, is a garbage person.

That’s a fair statement,

I’m feeling the same way, but have to be a be wary that the Rams OL is garbaggio and other offensive lines could give us a problem.  I doubt it happens, I have a lot of confidence in this group and I’m glad that we invested in them.  4th time’s a charm.  I think.  Stay healthy

Which teams the Bills will face have good OLs?  The Chiefs?

Yes, the chiefs, packers, Vikings, browns, lions, Cinci, Miami, pats should all have better OLs than the rams.

It’s not about having a “good” offensive line.  My point was, the rams might have a bottom 5 OL…..meaning most other OLs that we face will be better than the rams.  While our Dal was wreaking havoc all over the place on Thursday, Noteboom was the usual suspect that night.  Everyone had their way with him.  Week 2 last season, our pass rush was fierce and looked to be formidable….then we realized it was just the Miami OL that made our pass rush look better than it was…..

not saying that will be the case….but one game is one game.  While I think our pass rush will be among the leagues best, I don’t feel like it’s realistic to think we’ll have the same level of success every game.

It’s rare to have the kind of night the Bills’ DL had Thursday, and expecting the same or similar results each week will leave us disappointed.

Frazier and McD are going to game plan differently for different teams as well.  I imagine we’ll sit back against Tannehill but blitz Tua aggressively, for example.

It’s going to be an evolution, but there’s no question the early results are incredibly encouraging.

Love that Bruce said before the season started that he thinks it is collectively the best DL the Bills have ever had — or at least since he played.

True they might not all be as bad as the Rams' OL and we can't expect that kind of performance every week, but yes it's about who has a good OL and out of that list, maybe half do, and half of that half have other issues on offense.  We'll get a better idea after today.

And here I was really looking forward to having 119 sacks for the season.

I think Defenses like Baltimore and Pittsburgh can still give fits for Josh Allen.  Those will be a lot closer game.

Agreed. Any defense that can pressure with 4 is always going to be tough. The Steelers are like that.

the ravens will be tough because they blitz a lot but have the corners to play really physical and tight man coverage.

I do think all these high shell defenses will soon fade back into oblivion. There is no way they can stop the potent offenses of today so long as the QB is patient.

The best way to take Henry out of the game is to go up by 3 scores...

I'd like to see some 4-3 D on early downs with Bernard coming in for Taron.

Bills offense showed some flexibility in packages. We saw the Bills in the strong I formation!

Bills defense needs to show some flexibility and go bigger/ 4-3 at times against the Titans/ Colts/ Ravens of the world

KC has a very good OL, Bengals completely rebuilt theirs this offseason, and Miami added 2 studs to its OL to help keep Tua upright.

The Dolphins line is still pretty weak with the exception of the left side. Even there, Conor Williams was just ok with Dallas, and Armstead can usually only finish half the year before getting injured.

Agree on KC and Cincy

Ball control teams are not beating our defense.  It can shut them down.  The rules of the NFL now favor the passing teams.  The teams that concern me are teams that have offenses like ours.  They are just not stoppable thanks to the way games are officiated.  If the Bills lose games this year they will be of the 45-41 variety.  Not the 17-14 variety.

There  isn’t enough evidence as of yet that the Bills can shut down a ground and pound team effectively . Bills defense was built to stop the pass .  They were  a top ranked passing defense last season . However,   run defense was middle of road. That’s why Bills got stomped by the Colts with Taylor running free all day   and couldn’t contain Henry in the loss to Titans.   Our biggest upgrade on defense is Miller.  But he’s a pass rusher .  So I’m not so sure that we can say that we will shut down a ball control team at this point .

There were more upgrades to the defense.  Both new DTs, Daquan Jones and Tim Settle, will help clog the middle and allow the LBs to make tackles. Shaq is a DE that plays strong against the run.

No evidence yet, but the Bills did make some moves to improve and be more stout against the run.

As mentioned, play with a lead and make these teams throw.  That is a key.

I believe they made big upgrades, but as mentioned before they need to know when the Nickel is not effective or needed.

Teams are gonna try to establish the run vs. us and Taron can't handle the bigs backs. IMO if Frazier really wants to get mad respect, he should be able to form a 4-3 and adjust to the particular opponent. I'd also like to see Bernard in action.....

Can you imagine playing a team like the Titans or Balt., etc. and having an instinctive head hunting LB blowing up a running game?

The Titan's D is looking kinda tough against the Giants. I'm happy we got Saffold and Qberry ( even though Brown is starting.)

That should help at least with preparation. I hope we run the ball down their throats.....after a few quick scores.

to be fair, pretty much any team’s D is gonna look good against Danny Dimes and the G-String-Men.

Bengals gave up 7 and Tua was running for his life today.

Can you name the 3 specific run defenders they signed that a upgrades?  Miller is the biggest because sacks are very important and high visibility.  Run stuffers are not typically household names.  I'm not certain you can make the claim we didn't upgrade that portion of the defensive line immensely.

Hopefully the additions of Tim Settle DaQuan Jones and Jordan Phillipps will be what we need.

I expect an improved performance by the run D

DaQuil is the anchor against the run Star wasn't. Settle and J Phillips are upfield disruptors. Von actually grades out incredibly well against the run. Lawson is known as a solid contain defender on the edge.

The key loss is Harry, an excellent run defender. If DaQuil replaces him/Star for a wash, that's terrific and so far he looks good. But the rest of last years replacements - Addison to Lawson, Hughes to Von, Obada/Star/Zimmer to Settle/Phillips, I think you can call an upgrade vs run and pass.

Well so was A.D.....allegedly. We have the coach who coached the Rams players and line and we also have the guys who went against the Titans front four. I like our chances. I hope our Oline wants to punish them and make a statement.

I was critical of Beane and his addressing of the Oline this off season. I do believe that is gonna be the point of emphasis this next year due to layering the contracts smartly, so I'm cool with that. The thing I'm learning to dig is that Saffold makes Dion and Morse better....Morse and Brown make Bates better.....my point is they all fit like 5 fingers on a glove.

They are all making the guy next to them good. It's a reciprocal thing. Now I'm starting to see the reasoning behind what they're doing.

Aaron Donald was neutralized because the Bills gameplan was to throw the ball instantly every play.

He was destroying Ryan Bates all game basically.
