Will we see any starters vs Panthers this week?

Will the starters get some run vs Panthers? Assumed no Josh Allen, but haven't seen anything stated by McDermott.

I figured they'd use the starters at a home game, they got out of it pretty unscathed.  They should spend their time getting ready for the Rams.

 

I'd expect to see a lot of the back end of the roster guys.

I think we see Brown,  Elam and Benford. Two of them may be starters but that's about it

i expect to see Blackshear and Duke Johnson, Hodgkins, Kummerow, Austin, Gentry and the BYU kid, Sweeney and Morris at TE, and all back-up offensive line.

 

On D, all the reserved line, guys like Braylan Spector, Andre Smith and Jo Giles Harris at LB and I do expect to see the two rookie corners getting snaps

Heck, I think we may only see Case for about a quarter and then Barks the rest of the way. 

 

Additionally, with Brown being iffy for the start of the season or rather slow going on his recovery from off season surgery how much do we even see Quessenberry on Friday?  They can't risk losing that guy right now.

The final preseason game was traditionally used to get a deep look at the "bubble guys" on the roster and also showcase guys the team may try to trade.

Or maybe not guys like Blackshear and Spector if you want to try and sneak them onto PS??  May already have too much Blackshear out there.  Unless they want to see alot of him on ST to decide if worth taking the chance on cutting Jones and keeping him?  That's the one ST core guy I'd like to see gone.  And I know they struggled a lot on Saturday on returns, but many other regulars also weren't playing either.

Indications from McDermott are that Brown will not be starting in September.   He hasn't practiced much due to his recovery from surgery. As a young player he needs to get more practice in.  It sounds almost as if he'll need to earn his way back into the starting lineup.

The reason they changed the roster cut down dates this year is so teams would be able to play all reserves for the final preseason game.

 

Aside from Elam and Benford (one of whom will be starting against the Rams) and the kicker, punter, and long snapper I can't imagine the Bills playing any of their starters.

Yeah - i don't mind seeing anyone competing for a starting spot getting some snaps.

He adds a lot to the run game, but his pass protection was always a bit of a work in progress.

We don't need to see Brown at the beginning of the year and can let him get completely healthy.  Q is a legit starter.  I know his pass pro grade sucked but he's not a stiff.  And don't forget...Beach Chairs!

They need reps, but I wouldn't be shocked if they both sit (along with Dane Jackson and Taron Johnson) in favor of a steady diet of Lewis, Ingram, McCloud and Jordan Miller.
