Drafting talent and developing talent are two different things.  Johnson fell and some teams had a dont draft or 2nd round grade on him.  Does Wilson become Justin Jefferson or Jalen Reagor?  Now its on the coaches to properly develop these players, and the team still has a plethora of holes.

 

Jets had I believe a strong first round - they are still 2-3 years away from even competing for the playoffs.

Jets had a fantastic draft last night. 

But everything still depends on the development of Zach Wilson.

 

The Bills fielded some pretty strong rosters during the drought.  But they were always dragged down by below average QB play, and they maxed-out between 6-9 during those seasons.

I'm sure all the draft experts will be giving the Jets an "A" for last night's first round.  The problem is winning the draft and the off season is not the same as winning football games on the field starting in September.  So maybe hold off on the Super Bowl reservations and big talk for now?
