sunshynman
Could be a cheap #2. They might part ways with Engram as well. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/03/02/kyle-rudolph-says-farewell-to-the-giants/ 1

NewEra
Just the type of player that I hope we fill our roster depth out with. We’re going to have to sign some bargain basement. Decent vets that will take less money to jump on the 17 train. not sure if Rudolph will take the minimum, but I’d take him for the minimum. we really need our vets to take the lead in recruiting some of these free agents that we probably can’t afford. Some players just want to feel wanted. If the team that makes you feel most wanted also has Josh Allen, that could be more valuable to them than money that they already in spades. 5

H2o
Rudolph would be a solid backup option. We basically have Knox and that's it. Rudolph has made his $$$ in the league too, so he might come here on a discount hoping to get a SB. 2
Process
I wanted the Bills to sign a #2 TE, but after seeing Ian Thomas, a player who couldn't be any more irrelevant, get $5M+, just draft a guy in the 5th round. We will be paying Knox $12M a year pretty soon. 1

FilthyBeast
If we go hard after another 'name' TE I'd still prefer Gronk as the first option. 2 1
thenorthremembers
He is probably going to come cheap, 2.5-3 million dollars a year and he is probably a better option than Sweeney in terms of blocking and what he brings to the room to help Dawson out. However, his hands arent great and he is going to be 33 years old. I think there are probably better options, but he is the type of guy the Bills would want in the locker room. Also a guy the Bills tried to get last offseason. Would not be surprised in the least if Beane kicked the tires.
MJS
He'd be an upgrade at TE2. But I feel like name recognition alone is going to get him a bigger contract than he is worth right now.

As for the hatred because the played for the Pats - get over it. That's the team that drafted him (he didn't choose to play there) and he hasn't played there in a few years (and he did choose NOT to play there on his last contract). As to the hatred due to the Tre White incident a few years ago, it was a cheap shot and stupid play in the heat of battle, but players in all major sports change teams all the time and they are able to work it out and get past these things. If the Bills and Tre think that Gronk would help the team win a SB, I'm sure everyone would figure out a way to forgive and move forward. Greg S
Per the NY Post the Giants are also releasing RB Devontae Booker. He had 593 yards rushing tied with Barkley for the team lead with 17 fewer carries. It would cost 3.1 million against the cap this season.

davefan66
I’d like to see what Sweeney can do this season. Feel he can be a good TE. Don't want Rudolph, would rather have Engram. Would rather have Gronk over either of them. I want the Bills to put the pedal to the metal this off-season and fix our problem areas. I want a team that cruises through the regular season and gets home field. Whatever it takes.
