The reasoning for labeling Buffalo as a fringe Super Bowl team ("They can't beat Pat Mahomes") is infantile at best. Buffalo has been developing and improving since Sean McDermott arrived in Buffalo. They weren't good enough last January and went out and made their defense better. The differences on the defensive line are significant. There may be some incremental improvements elsewhere on the team. It's much harder for a team that is on top to keep making improvements. Mostly, they are just trying to hold on to what they have.
