well,  Belicheat doesnt exactly have the best track record when it comes to the draft, he lucked into Brady,    Jones pick doesnt scare me much.

Not recently. He did have a great run 2009-2015 - that is what their 3 later championships were built on.

I mean.....have you seen the picture of Brady from the Combine? Lets not summon that curse.

But Mac Jones is great....as long as he has the best team in the league surrounding him.

It's pretty clear that Douglas collected more picks than he intended to use (ie he was going to move up at some point), but this feels like money burning a hole in his pocket

The Jets have holes everywhere. They could have used the picks.

Ooof, hope not. We'd have to give up our 2nd and we need 1 tech, DE, CB2 pretty badly. We could take a RB at 30 and I'd be ok with it too

I am not endorsing a trade up but that seems to be the prevailing thought.

Or the other Brady 2.0. Hopefully not. I personally think he sucks.

There will never be another Brady... he is a once in a lifetime player.  Players that are that unathletic has no business being as good as Brady is.

Eh, I think 8 players in a draft is the absolute max of players that you can really draft and develop in a single year. Otherwise, every team would be punching as many lottery tickets as they can. There's a limit.

I think it is possible if the qb is elite pre-snap, which is not typical early on

I was hoping the Patriots didn’t get Jones. I think he wins the starting job by week 3. Jones has a super quick release and is a very good passer.

He played on a Bama team with 4* & 5* recruits at every position. Every QB looks good on Bama.
