No_Matter_What
Title says it all. Recently many posters changed their mind and now want to extend Tremaine Edmunds. If you are in this group (or wanted to extend him even before), how far would you go? How much is he worth? Other names are for refence only, they might not be that relevant since those contracts are for different number of years and were signed in different times. DrDawkinstein
I'd love to get him for under $15M/yr but that is just wishful thinking. I think his open market value is $18-20M/yr, so I'll be happy if he takes a team-friendly deal at like $16M/yr. 2 1 1 7
Success
I don't think we'd get him under $15M. Agree w/ the 1st response - hoping he can take a bit of a discount to stay, and keep it around $16-17M 1
NewEra
I think it’ll have to be 17-20m aav if he continues to play as he has. Tough decision and I’m glad I don’t have to decide 1

akcash
I've been saying since the season started Edmund's signs for 14 mil a year BC he wants to stay in Buffalo. Might be $15 now.

Don Otreply
I’m in the re-sign him camp, I also don’t care what they pay him, wether they low ball him or “over” pay him, just do it. Go Bills!!!

AZSanta
My take on this is his play much better this year. It just so happens to be a contract year. That is no coincidence. Should he be rewarded if his only motivation is money. Where was this play the years previous? I say let him walk. We can find another LB in the draft 1 1 1 2
BfloBillsFan
I voted as same as Milano, maybe a few million more due to inflation. Both LBs are vital to the Defense, I think Milano makes bigger plays throughout the game, Edmunds seems to be involved in more plays (as I expect a middle LB would be). I would think the bigger playmaker would be harder to replace

Brand J
Trade Edmunds if possible. Allocate the money he would’ve made to the offense. He has never been a difference maker against the top offenses in the league, so what exactly is it that we’re throwing $15M/yr at? A good, but not great off the ball LB? No thanks. 2

Call_Of_Ktulu
Trade him in the off-season, no way is he worth 17 mil a year. That money needs to be spent on O-line and weapons for the offense. Trade Knox and Edmunds in a package deal for a 1st and 3rd rd picks.
EmotionallyUnstable
With the cap going up substantially, I’m guessing his deal is in the higher range provided, likely spanning 4 years. We can find another LB in the draft I see what you’re saying. But the beauty about resigning him is we can then draft o line or another receiver. If we let him walk, we are going to instead spend draft capital on a LB instead of OL or WR. tremaine doesn’t seem like the type of guy that would cash it in after getting a payday. McD also loves good, reliable LBs and Tremaine is one of them

We can find another LB in the draft I had this thought and would like to agree with it. However, it’s also the first year where he’s had reliable and deep talent in front of him with Oliver, Jones, Settle, and Phillips. Not to mention Von Miller balling out with Groot improving. Star wasn’t doing Edmunds any favors these past few years, and were seeing that now. I think we’ve also seen the difference he makes with regards to other players pass defense. Edmunds shrinks zones, and he’s gonna get paid.

Orlando Tim
I believe if he hits the open market he gets right around $20 million a year from someone, he changes good defenses into great defenses. Chicago will go for him hard, as will others. Hopefully we can do a 5 year 15 million a year type deal.
