But that’s kinda the pint. Diggs is much, much, much better than any receiver than Lamar has played with. Do you think Allen has the same jump with Hollywood instead of Diggs? I doubt it. Also, Brown just had a 1,000 yard season with Lamar and ypc in Arizona is basically the same. And come on with Sammy. Dude has been washed for years.

will Lamar ever been an elite passer? No. But it is a bottom 5 group, their oline is a mess, and their rbs can’t stay healthy. Lamar is the least of their problems right now.

You're right I looked at the top for his last season because it was 2019 I seen his yardage.  Thats all Im saying is Lamar is not an elite passer.  So we agree.  I dont think he ever wins a super bowl because of it.  Thats probably what we disagree on.

..while I agree with you.. there is an element of chicken and egg here.. Lamar is not a proficient passer in the way that Mahomes/Allen are so WR who get to the areas (intermediate outside the lines) that Mahomes/Allen are so the WRs that do that are not as valuable to him. Certainly, obviously they would be helpful, but Lamar would benefit from guys like Waddle/Hill. Guys who can take a short pass and run or can create separation on deep balls. I wouldn't want Lamar throwing a bunch of contested, intermediate throws like the ones that Josh does even if he had a Diggs.

That’s kinda my point with Allen though. He wasn’t a great passer until we got Diggs. Not really on any level. Now he is in a different stratosphere. Would he have gotten there without Diggs? Maybe but he never did before him.

jackson will never be a Rodgers type passer. But he did win a MVP and have over 30 passing tds with a bunch of JAGs. They are bringing in the corpse of Desean.

as a Bills fan, I’m happy the Ravens have settled for rookies and washed up Vets. But I love watching Jackson play and it would be cool to see him with a legit number 1 at receiver. JMO.

You already forgot about them ?   17th ranked defense iirc

Barely got by Phillip Rivers and the Colts then got their doors blown off by Mahomes the next week.

No. I know they aren’t close to being on the level of this current Bills defense but they most certainly did not suck either.

Brown is not Diggs no.  He isnt the best of the best.  Acting like they havent had any receivers though is wrong.  He just doesnt throw to them.  They get open just fine.  Brown has 100 less yards in just 6 games this season as he had in 14 games last season.  Murray isnt exactly an elite passer either yet he was on pace to more than double his yards with a different QB than Lamar.  Time for the excuses to end.  Lamar is a great athlete.  What he is not is an elite passer.  I dont care who you put on that team.  Lamar still has to throw to them.  Something he isnt good at.

Even Sammy Watkins had his worst career year there.

The simple point to make is…. Look at John Brown’s stats after Lamar replaced Flacco. He racked up 715 yards and 5 TDs that season. 558 yards and 4 TDs were in the first 8 games when Flacco (injured in game 9) was the QB. The year after with Allen as his QB Brown posted 1060 yards and 6 TDs.

That's just not true though. He was top in the NFL on intermediate routes in year 2. They got Diggs because he showed he was a proficient passer.

Cardinals paying Murray $3.1m a year more than what Bills are Allen.

I'd say Murray is the least accomplished of any of the 40 million $ men.  He got it because he has a good agent who could threaten that he'd go back to baseball.  Jackson has no agent and no other sport to scare Baltimore.  He's likely to get franchised because. he's too stubborn to hire an agent. Then he's in another prove it year in 2023.

I only saw a few of Lamar’s plays today, but one of them was an odd backwards pass as he was being tackled. Baltimore was very lucky that it was only a 10 yard loss & not a turnover. JA would’ve been universally grilled if he made a play that carelessly.

Lamar isn't worth more $$$ than Mahomes or Allen, but neither are any of the QB's getting paid more than them right now. Lamar is sitting in that Dak and Kirk Thuggins tier, former MVP or not. We'll see how it plays out, but a Franchise Tag followed by a trade wouldn't shock me depending on how things play out this offseason.

This is honestly insane for a franchise QB to tweet.

Lamar is fun to watch, and by all accounts - a good guy, but I’d be out on the type of contract he’s looking for.

On play alone, I’d be out..  but apparently he’s also as mature as a teenage boy.

Yeah but only one stands to lose tens of millions of dollars over it

His performance on the field today did that. If he completes more than 50% of his passes and played better then he would less likely to have to point out to a twitter users that they in fact eat dick.

Regarding Raven's WR's and Jackson one must consider that the team had to design an offense with Greg Roman and his running scheme in order to best use Jackson. It's pretty obvious that he has his limitations in the passing game. Good free agent WR's aren't normally standing in line to sign with the Ravens so not only is their passing game somewhat limited by Jackson but they typically don't have the best WR's. A good defense will limit Jackson's effectiveness and make it clear that he's no 40 million a year guy. To guarantee him anything more than half of his yet to be negotiated contract what with his forte being running the ball seems like a foolish move.

When you get right down to it, telling a fan to eff off is free speech. What's shocking is that level of frankness from an athlete.

Sure, but I own a business.. If I want to tell a client to eat a d!ck, that’s my right… not great for my bottom line though.

Didn’t mean to start a race thing. It’s just when JA tweeted some rap lyrics as a teenager he was roasted. What a pro athlete adult male can tweet should be be tolerated.

I don't think what you wrote is what you meant. Anyway, pros and especially pros who are name QB's do their perceptions and their pocketbooks real damage by acting like jerks and making comments that can be construed as inappropriate or lewd. These guys need to protect their image in order to cash in now and after they retire. Guys like Peyton Manning and Shaq are good examples for big name athletes to emulate.

I read it differently.  I don’t think he told the dude to eat a dick….I think he believes the guy has already done plenty of that.

This tweet is going to cost him more than any mediocre performance on a given Sunday

I don’t know… If the Ravens don’t pay him, someone will.

If he wants to be the highest paid QB in the league, he’ll get it.   As far as fully guaranteed money, will have to see if an owner is willing to break ranks.   Pretty sure they were none too happy with the Browns for the Watson deal.

Doubtful. It won't be from Baltimore, but teams will be lining up to pay a former MVP QB.

I can't see a team passing on Lamar because he told a guy that he eats ***** when there are numerous criminals in the league (which is fine by me; i want to see the best athletes compete, i dont care if they are good people)

Yikes face of the franchise

Holy crap.  If that really did come from Lamar, that's shocking to say the least.

First off, you're an NFL quarterback.  You're watched every day by millions upon millions of people.  Fans are gonna be fans and often times say crazy things.  But that wasn't even that big of a deal!  I'm thinking someone just caught him on a bad day or something.....if he got that upset over that trivial comment, I'd hate to see his reply to something seriously mean or personal or spiteful......jeez

Keep in mind that QBs get paid stupid money and he is easily a top 10 QB.

Question. If we didn’t have Josh Allen and Lamar was a FA, how much would you offer him?

I wouldn't be in the market for him. This is a passing league. I don't care about the MVP or how athletic he is. He's got a ceiling over his head in how far he can take you and will decline more rapidly than just about any QB in the league.
