YoloinOhio
Quote Webb, who signed with the Giants four months ago and has been working with Jones, said he’s never seen a quarterback with Jones’s work ethic. He’s the hardest-working quarterback I’ve been around,’’ Webb said, via the New York Post. “He’s probably the smartest quarterback I’ve been around.’’ Webb is expecting Jones to take a big step in Year Four. “He has really good questions in meetings, takes really good notes, he’s always looking to improve, weight room, practice field, meeting room, he’s just all in, and it’s fun to have a teammate like that,’’ Webb said. “Cares that much and brings the most out of his teammates. He’s a dang good football player. I think he’s gonna have his best year.’’ Even if he has his best year, it’s hard to believe Jones will have the kind of year to justify comparisons to Manning, Allen or Mahomes. billsbackto81
I'm sure he's smart, he went to Duke didn't he? Jeez! What do you want him to say? He's a scrub, it's no surprise his option wasn't picked up. He never said most talented did he? 1

Greg S
I don't know what to make of Jones. The Giants OL is trash so that doesn't help but he neither looks like he can be "the guy" or a scrub either. He seems average. He isn't a Schoen or Daboll pick and I believe the Giants didn't pick up his option. This is a big year for him otherwise I see the Giants moving on from him next year.
RoyBatty is alive
Amazing with Dabol et al at the Giants the ex bill comments. Jon Feliciano is great, their new HC,GM, Oline Coach are great, Matt Breida was underappreciated and former Bill QB says Daniels Jones is the hardest worker he has ever seen. SHOCKER!
Logic
Davis Webb himself seems to be an incredibly smart, hard working quarterback. Sometimes the “want to” gets stopped in its tracks by physical ability or the lack of it. 2

machine gun kelly
He’s on the Giants now. What’s he supposed to say other than finding ways to be positive, but not comparing the skill sets of Allen or Mahomes to him. Mahomes and Allen know it and they understand code for finding something positive to say. Besides Webb is the clip board king. He’ll be a QB coach one day. Ridgewaycynic2013
Webb's quote reminds me a lot of what Herb Tarlek's coworkers were saying about Herb's traits on 'Real Families'. "Hard worker. Loyal husband. Fine person."

Was there ever OL that was worse than what Allen had as a rookie? Yet, with that putrid OL, Allen didn't have a losing record as a rookie in games he started and finished. billsbackto81
I'm not a fan, but I'll be fair. He's not a "bad" QB. Overdrafted and thrown into a QB1 position on a team with limited talent. If he had played in the 90's he'd be borderline Pro Bowl caliber. I.E. 2019 Daniel Jones 13 games/ 3027 yds, 24 TD's 12 INTs, 61.9 comp rate 1990 QBX 14 games/ 2829 yds, 24 TD's 9 INTs, 63.1 comp rate/ Pro Bowl selection and AFC SB representative. And he had a very talent laden roster to work with. Can you guess who QBX is?😂 He's a HOF'er. In no way am I saying Jones was anywhere as good as QBX but it really goes to show how the position is viewed and played today.

You need a bit of a break and to hit the corner with clean long strides Josh has the speed to do it , but the circumstances for it to happen are very very rare in the NFL Edited June 4, 2022 by Buffalo716

Two different eras, one of which the rules were tilted very heavily to favor the offense and one of which was not.
