The scuttlebutt around the team right now is that Douglas is the one who wants to draft an OT and Saleh doesn't.. jets fans may want him gone, but that's the only people talking about it in any real sense. DrDawkinstein
Even more hilarious knowing they are losing their LT, and are STILL going all in on trading multiple picks, including #10 overall, for a WR.

ALF
After a very good rookie season in 2020, Becton missed almost all of the 2021 campaign because of a dislocated kneecap suffered in the season opener. He never got back on the field after Sept. 12 and his weight reportedly reached 400 pounds. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jppelzman/2022/04/26/the-ongoing-mekhi-becton-situation-is-a-thorny-one-for-new-york-jets-gm-joe-douglas-the-driving-force-behind-bectons-selection/?sh=50845c807425 Wow would make a good NT . Jets can get a excellent WR with there 4th or 10th pick in this draft. https://www.northjersey.com/story/sports/nfl/jets/2022/04/25/ny-jets-draft-picks-2022-final-mock-draft-projection/7436988001/

Monty98
I mean, Becton might not be what Salah wants as a tackle. But Becton will be around for at least 2-3 more years. If he stays healthy and keeps the weight in check he's fine. Just has to progress as an OT

I have been concerned just cause he’s so raw. He needs all the reps he can get. If he’s good for TC I’ll be fine. I honestly think Quessenberry can give more consistent play than Brown did last season. Just that Quessenberry is a bit long in the tooth (despite little tread) and Brown has much more upside. machine gun kelly
I understand Yatta. There’s a real chance we hit on Beown for a long future, but if you think Quis can help for a couple of games, that makes sense. I like Browns attitude. He’s has a little nasty in him and is protective of Josh. We need that in 6’8” 300+ linemen. 1

Wild how that stuff works I always had Wirfs graded as the best OT in that class. That he went 4th of the top 4 guys was always mad to me. Granted he has played exclusively at right tackle the "easier" side so far, but he is already a first team all pro and if you look at Tampa's line when he went down in the playoffs you definitely saw how valuable he is to them.
