Week 11 Colts Week

Struggling more than expected, they’re still in the hunt. They gave us all we could handle in the WC game and only the QB has changed. Frank Reich would love for Indy to take us down a notch and ‘frankly’ they need to, just to stay alive in the playoff race. Big game in the Conference so it’s a big win or big loss, depending on the outcome. We’ve moved up to 2nd place but they’re just a win behind us. Both teams won a Conference game Sunday, setting this game up as Must See.

Indy will pound the rock to soften up the defense and then pass.  They have an effective group of WRs and TEs.   Wentz can be erratic.  Overall this is a going to be a true test for the Bills.  NY Jets were a good game to  get ready.  Should be a heck of a game.

On paper this certainly doesn’t feel like a good matchup for the Bills.
If the Bills prepare and are dialed in like they were for the Jets I have little doubt they can beat the Colts. The video of McDermott addressing the team in the locker room after the game yesterday made it sound like last week’s game prep was different than the Jax weeks.

The Colts will be a desperate team, bring the A game

They’re much better than their record. One major thing holding them back is a lack of a powerhouse #1 wr although their crew is getting better including Pittman, and also Wentz’ incredibly untimely turnovers that he has a consistent issue with. One of my good friends is a Colts fans so I watch them a lot too.

Sell out to stop the run.

Come out of the base nickel defense and go with 3 LBs. Taylor can beat the Bills, I don't think Wentz can.

I agree. This worked against Tenn until Henry's big run. Taylor is good but he's not Henry.

Classic game of if we score TDs early instead of FGs it may force them out of their game. The longer it is a close game the more they can pound the run game.

Wentz is careless with the football; Rivers was a better fit for them last year.  If the Bills can play adequately against the run and get pressure, he will make mistakes.

This is a stern test regardless because Indy is a tough team, but Wentz' carelessness is their downfall.

The Colts game is a REAL barometer on where this team is as a serious SB contender. Colts have a premier RB in Taylor, and Wentz is a stud to bring down. Wentz beat up on the Bills when he played in Buffalo with the Eagles two years ago when the Bills were on a roll. Plus Reich is an excellent coach. This is a HUGE game for the Bills. Bills need to make a statement that aren't just a beater of bottom feeders. A lose and all the doubters have real ammunition that the Bills are a just a decent, but lacks the toughness to win big games. I'm already resting my throat for the game!!

The mistakes he makes are beyond head scratching. Rivers made dumb plays too but Wentz makes colossal errors at the worst times. Other than the turnovers he is playing well though. Both these teams are ball hawks. Whoever takes care of the ball best will probably take this one.

They match perfectly as our kryptonite.
Big bodied receiver in Pittman who can catch everything thrown his way.
Taylor running up the gut, Hines as the receiving back.
Buckner manhandling the interior O line (the biggest issue in my opinion the pressure up the gut)

Everyones favorite linebacker to compare edmunds to.
It’s definitely gonna be to quote wrestlings Jim Ross a “slobberknocker”

The good news for us is that they are out gunned badly at the position that matters most QB.

When our guy is on a roll there is no stopping him and he looks like he is ready to get back in high gear.

I realize the Jaguars game skewered many of this fan bases view of this team and I see many seem to think the Colts are some kind of amazing force despite their 5 losses.

Simply put if the Bills play like their capable of this game won’t be close Colts aren’t dynamic and play a very steady methodical kinda game and rely on you making mistakes.

Finally, an exciting game to look forward to.

Really interested to see if we continue the revamped offensive look of Allen under center with the return of jet sweep action, heavy PA and Breida/McKenzie involvement.

Also interested to see how that looks against a team with Buckner on the opposing DL.

Yep. They should have beaten the Rams, Ravens and Titans.

I laughed when CBS didn't have this as their highlighted game in their advertising for next week. It's their only good matchup in their early games

Not exactly about the Colts game but looking at the current standings - Who do you root for in the Pats-Titans game in two weeks? I'm thinking you have to root for the Pats right if we're to have any shot at the bye week in the playoffs.

Depends on this week for me. If we win then I'll hope the Titans go down. A loss to the Colts and we need to worry more about the division with NE potentially taking the lead in a Bills lose/Pats win situation this weekend.
