Jordan Phillips is another story.  I think we could use a big body, active guy at DT.  Star can't play every down, and no one else seems to be able to hold up the interior of the line.

Oh, absolutely! It’s all about how much Jordan Phillips would cost. I already feel great about our DEs/pass rush but Phillips would be a monster next to Ed Oliver.

You believe they draft another Qb even if they go winless?

WhereTF did I say that??

I don’t believe in Prince Valiant or the ‘Urban Renewal project’ as both are system products. They’re the London Jagoffs. I’ll start recognizing them as an NFL franchise when they officially move across the pond.

Good thing he got paid by Miami. I never thought he was that bad. Maybe not a good scheme fit? Where’s Rex when you need him

He wasn't that bad..... but he wasn't that good.

If he was worth it Beane would have found the money....JAGs won't get top $$$ here anymore.

Do they?😳

He doesn't look like he will light it up right out of the gate.

He stares down his target and you need a lot of arm strength if your doing that in this league and even then your getting burned.

If Lawson gets traded, he will be on his 4th in 2 years.  He’s NFL version of Kenny Lofton.  If you guys don’t remember Kenny Lofton, he was a baseball player that played for every major league team at least twice.

He also played half a season for the Utah Jazz

Unpopular opinion, but I agree. He is a decent NFL DE.  He isn’t a dominant pass rusher, but seems to hold up in the run game and can get effort sacks.

Lawson chased the money - like a lot of players do.  Can't say I blame him, but how many times has that approach led to a shorter / less significant career?  When you're in a good situation - don't always run, cuz the grass ain't always greener.

Except when the lawn is made of money I suppose...

They can just give him Carl’s jersey

That’s funny.  He seemed to be a nice guy and a role player and maybe Saleh needs that now.  Shaw saw the bad in Wrex, and the food in McD.

I may be giving Saleh a lot of credit, but he just seems to me like a McD kind of guy.  Shaq could be good for that room this year.  They will be lucky to get 5-6 wins.  They need stability and Shaq can potentially help there.  Maybe beat the Texans and Jags as examples.

Is it that or coaching?

I suspect it’s about coaching with Lawson, but buyer beware in any case.  He underperformed from the start in Buffalo, including his first year under McD.  They made a good decision in not picking up his option.  I am not sure if the coaching or the contract year motivation were more of a factor in his 2019 performance, but the fact that his play slipped significantly after getting his payday does not speak highly of his self motivation.  I think we dodged a bullet in his taking the Miami offer over the Bills.

As some have suggested he might be a good fit for the desperate Jets, but if I were Saleh I would not count on much leadership and be prepared to push hard.

Do you think Beane would consider bringing him back on a cheap 1 year deal if released?

On the Bills current roster, I think he'd be behind about 7 other guys at DE

I wonder if that 19 season was because he was due a new contract and not so much him finally understanding McD’s defensive scheme. Kind of funny that him and Philips chased the money and have had no success since leaving Buffalo

Well I honestly was never that big on Shaq and didn't expect but so much out of him. His decent season in 2019 maybe was more due to McD's scheme. As far as Phillips, wasn't he hurt for a while last season? I could be wrong, but thought he was.

Yeah he was hurt but when he came back he didn’t do much.
