Great quote about Allen by Stefon Diggs

Compare the personalities of the QB's drafted in 2018:

Josh - Energy, loves to play, a natural leader, a competitor that his teammates will run through a wall for.

Sam D - Seems like a likable guy, but hard to tell if he has that competitive drive because Coaching & team situation is so bad.

Josh R - Does he have a personality?

Baker M - Arrogant, his "me first" attitude wears very thin, and it shows on the field.

Lamar J - Being in a perfect situation has helped him take ful advantage of his athleticism, full of energy and passion, and better passer than was given credit for

I'll take the guys (Josh A and Lamar J) with the natural athleticism, humility--other's first perspective, and passion over the "maybe" more talented people any day in any draft.

Than the Jets? Who can blame him.....

Of those 5 it's been pretty evident for a while now Its Allen and Jackson who are the ones you'd follow into battle any day of the week .

Rosen would ruin a night out with Freddie Mercury. It's his face. Who has confidence in that? Darnold's pretty similar. He always looks like he found a fiver but lost a tenner but playing under Gase will do that to anyone.

Baker just seems like a little prick.

I am impressed by the professional and committed way Diggs has practiced and played.  Absolutely not a diva.  Whoever said that about him when he was a Viking had the wrong picture.

And some of us said it at the time. Diggs is passionate. He is a winner and he wants to win. He gives his all on every single play and when he sees a teammate who he thinks isn't he is going to let them know about it. I can see how that was mistaken for being a diva.... but he really isn't. He is much closer to Kyle Williams than TO.

Nothing. There was no issue between them. Diggs said so himself in his players tribune article. Cousins was one of the first guys who texted him after the trade to wish him well. People jumped on Diggs and Cousins walking off a field in animated discussion with each other about a play that didn't work. We have already seen that from Diggs and Allen in camp. That is who Diggs is. It isn't diva behaviour. It is a guy who wants to be better and wants everyone around him to be better. I have coached soccer I have worked with players like that. You want them around you because as a coach they help you set the standard. When we saw in the past Kyle Williams on his feet in the bench area chewing out defensive players who weren't doing their job well enough did we call Kyle a diva? Or is it different when it is a defensive lineman.....?

This aspect of Josh's personality is starting to get talked about around the league.

The CBS studio analysts said something to that affect yesterday (about his attitude / love of the game) and were very positive about it...

As I read it, Diggs "beef" (if you can call it that) with Cousins was that he was "Captain Checkdown" and didn't throw the long ball enough.   He's in the perfect spot now with Josh and the Bills...

From day 1 when Josh stepped onto the football field to take the snaps there was a different energy about this team. Not only he does the offense rally around him, but the defense seems to rally around him as well. He gives you everything he's got on every play. It's contagious. You see it and you can feel it. The whole vibe of the team changed once he lined up under Center.

Diggs is a superior talent. The Bills have had very few over the last two decades.  It looked like Allen and Daboll ran their offense and took what the defense gave them.  They didn't force anything to anyone.  If they keep playing that way I suspect we will see equal chances for Diggs and Brown with a few passes to Beasley.  The rest will go to Knox and the backs.  Kroft will be lucky to catch 10 passes all year

He probably WOULD rather be anywhere else, meaning, playing for any other team. He is screwed there.

If anybody questions Allen’s attitude, I think that’s just crazy.  He’s a baller and goes all out.  Questioning his effectiveness is a whole different animal.  He’s a guy you want to be around and follow, hopefully his game evolves to one where you say, “we can’t lose with that guy on our team”. he’s been so up and down, one can’t say that yet, but there’s a chance.

I get that, but he’s just not any good.  A franchise QB should be able to elevate his team.  Darnold clearly can’t, and it’s now his third year in the league.

I think the only people who would question Allen’s attitude or heart are the ones who look at the stats and give their opinion ,

I watch Allen’s  every game and press conference he’s a good kid / a warrior on the field  ,  I’m sure he Knows expectations are high  ( for this year )

cant wait for week 2

GO BILLS !!!

“He’s still got a little bit of a kid in him,” Diggs said after the game. “So when he’s out there, he’s out there having fun and I enjoy it. I’m always in his ear kind of like, ‘Keep that positive energy going,’ just because I can’t imagine how hard it is to play quarterback. But when I see him out there having a good time, it gives me a little bit of a push in the back and a a little bit motivation to say, you want to play for this guy. You want to go hard for this guy because he’s damn sure gonna go hard for you.”

How awesome is that?

Love it.

First game, came out of a break wide open, didn't get the ball gave a wtf gesture in the middle of the play.

I'm gonna see how this one plays out. Especially after a loss.

Obviously Diggs missed the memo that Allen sucks and won't amount to anything. Did he not see that pass to Brown?

Diggs impressed me way more than I thought he would.

He didn't have monster numbers or anything, but 8 receptions on 9 targets is HUGE, and his ability to hang on to the ball even after taking those punishing hits was eye-opening.

If that's what we get on the regular with Diggs, the trade was worth everything we gave up & then some. Even if Josh was to just flame out (not saying he will), Diggs being around is a huge help to the offense no matter who's behind center.

You couldn’t help your self giving Diggs all that credit ,  and how HUGE those 8 receptions were  without trashing Josh ?
I’m  not sure but IMO Josh had probably something to do with how HUGE receptions  were
