oldmanfan
I’m going to go back in time and say Cookie Gilchrist. I was at autograph day when I was 8 years old trying to get his autograph, and the bigger kids kept pushing me back. Cookie saw it, told them to let me in, then picked me up and put me on his shoulder. 1

Don’t forget the “key to the city” and he offered some painful (but necessary) critique of the organization. MJS
Jim Kelly, probably. But I'm young so most of my football memory is from after the Kelly days. Still, I've gone back and watched a lot from those days. Plus, seeing his recent fight with cancer and what him and his family has gone through and how they have dealt with it is pretty inspirational. From my childhood I've have to say that Eric Moulds was my favorite. Man he was good. More recently Kyle Williams is a favorite. He was a great leader and a great player as well. Fred Jackson was awesome too. Those two were the only reason to watch the Bills for many years. You always knew Fred Jackson would come to play, even if nobody else would. On today's team I'd have to go with Tre White and Josh Allen.

Mojo44
This one is too tough to pick just one. Since I go back to the glory days of the mid 60s I picked the entire awesome defense they had: Sestack, McDole, Dunaway, Day Tracey, Jacobs, Stratton Byrd, Clark, Saimes, Edgerson
Bigvinny
Bruce Smith Completely dominant. Loved watching him play. Eric Moulds is another one of my favorites
billsbackto81
78 All time great that I still feel doesn't get the appreciation he deserves because he has no ring. I know it's been mentioned many times but imagine Bruce in a 4-3. OMFG!!! He'd be the unquestioned defensive GOAT. He'd have a season record of 30 sacks along with 250+ career. Pete
Carwell Gardner. Tough ***** I want to have on my side. Awesome teammate that took ***** from no one Leonard Smith, Steve Tasker, Kyle Williams, Lorenzo Alexander, and Bob Chandler are some of my other favorites. And oh yeah- Joe DaLamielleure and Blake Costanzo, because they were cool to me
bopper2
Chris Speilman. A short time with the Bills, but a tough throw back line backer, who walked away from the game to provide care for his wife when she was diagnosed with cancer. As someone who lost a mother, father and wife to cancer, I couldn’t help but admire the man, as much as the player.

Thanks. Also, I just remembered Cookie Gilchrist and I exchanged letters for a short period of time after I read about his challenges in a Buffalo News article. I recall now he was living in some kind of elderly care home in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and he was soliciting some money in exchange for a shirt with the hope to raise money for his ailment. Cookie sent me a detailed hand written and signed letter - it was nice. Unfortunately I was going through some financial hardship at the time and was in no way able to contribute. Then I think he got a bit “sour” with me when I couldn’t send $ (I’m guessing he was - I have no proof). Anyone else get involved in this endeavor with Cookie ? LABILLBACKER
I can't pick just one. It has to be 2 guys who played with each other during a terrible era of Bills football. They were both underdogs who played harder and with more passion then any player in Bills history. For me the HOFers of the 90's will always be legends. But Kyle & Fred were special players during a hard time. #22 #

NoHuddleKelly12
JK was my hero on the field and although I didn’t think it possible, now even more off the field. So glad my (and his) hometown Steelers missed out on drafting him in ‘83! I grew up a stone’s throw across the river from East Brady Pa where he’s from, and this welcome sign into town always left a lasting impression on me as a youngster, and sparked my lifelong fandom for the Bills—so thanks for that Jim! Ethan in Cleveland
Thurman Thomas. He was amazing to watch. Without him the K-gun would have never worked. 3 more carries in Superbowl XXV and they win. Bring it
Hard to pick just one! I became a fan in 1985 so from the 80’s and 90’s it would probably be Thurman and Bruce. Great all around players. The last 20 years it definitely would be Fred and Kyle!! Both class men on and off the field. So is Lorenzo! Loved watching them play!! The one player who always just left me shaking my head was Tasker. Seemed like just a common, ordinary person physically but he just dominated on ST!!
