Love how the entire team responded to his TD vs. Indy in preseason. That spoke volumes.
Bleedbuffaloblue
Love listening to that young man. So well spoken and that accent is awesome. Would love to see him make the team next year or at least find way to spend another year on the PS.

Oh he’ll be almost guaranteed to at least make the practice squad next year as well - the exemption attached to his international status lasts 2 years. I hope he makes the 53 though.
Buffalo Barbarian
I know there is a lot of complexity in offense and they are probably worried about him missing an assignment on an audible , but he has clear talent and they should find a way to get him on the field. machine gun kelly
BB, I’m guessing he stays on the PS one more year, and in two years he may get a shot. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like him on some level.

machine gun kelly
BB my powerlifting buddy, I’m just guessing they play him each pre-season to get as much game experience possible, and then do what you wrote in two years. If he hasn’t learned the NFL after three years, he never will.
Captain Murica
Should try and get him to learn how to field/return punts and kickoffs. I think that could be easier than trying to learn pass protection and such. Has big play potential. But, in all reality he has no shot to make the 53 imo.

Don Otreply
Although many here don’t think he will make the 53, and they are probably right, I’m going the underdog route, thinking he makes the active roster, ya ya, I know, but it’s fun to root for the underdog... Go Bills!!!

Gambit
I honestly think he makes it this year. Buffalo is missing someone who can take it to the house no matter where we are. His speed is insane and I honestly feel his talent alone should make him at worst our RB3.
BillsFan4
I enjoyed that interview. Thanks. This was the next YouTube video that played after the interview. I didnt know Wade played the drums (about 1/2 way through the video). He’s actually really good!

If he does go to PS again, I hope it's not the exempt spot so we can actually have the opportunity to bring him up at some point (although it means another team could steal him away)

transplantbillsfan
I know people are dismissive of him, but I really think he makes the roster next season. Whether it was vs 2nd or 3rd stringers in the preseason, his God-given talent was obvious. He might be at the bottom of the roster, but I think he makes it. Not saying he will... just think he does...

Returns, even kickoffs, are very different in rugby as they seldom kick deep as always prefer to gain possession
TigerJ
Given his age, I'm assuming that if he ever plays for the Bills, it will probably start this season.
T master
I hope that he will be the next back in the room on the 53 i think he would be a really good add to the team & then grab another RB in the draft as a developmental or depth player rather than bringing in a veteran at a lot higher contract that will only be there for 1 possibly 2 seasons & then they need to get another body to fill the spot . MJS
Let's hope he's learning the nuances of special teams, because that's his path to the 53. With his speed he could be a returner, gunner, etc.
msw2112
As mentioned above, his age is a factor. He is 28 and turns 29 in May. If is sits on the PS another year, I'm not sure if he will ever make it. There isn't much of a market for 30 year old running backs. It would be a great story if he could land a spot on the 53 this upcoming season.

Also age isn't as much a factor as some of you make it out to be. He has very low football miles or even whatever rugby miles he has that would equate to football miles. There is a reason Rugby players don't wear helmets. Wade is probably closer to 25 in NFL years.

The plays they gave Mckenzie last year I would like to see how he would perform with those plays.
GreggTX
He clearly has the necessary skills. The real question is has he develpped the right instincts. He seems intelligent, so I'd wager he knows the playbook. Reading and setting up blocks, on the other hand, don't require intelligence. Things like that require fast reactions and instincts. I saw the report that said he won't make the final 53 and all these people are now repeating it even though they have no real idea where his development stands.
