  1. The Bills have signed veteran offensive lineman La'el Collins to a one-year deal with a cap hit of $1,580,000. We now have more details about those contract terms thanks to Over The Cap. https://overthecap.com/player/lael-collins/4105 This is simply a one year deal for $1.58 mllion, with $1.21 million guaranteed and a $290,000 signing bonus. There are up to $5M in incentives that will only apply to the 2025 salary cap (not the 2024 cap) if Collins achieves specific starts, snap counts & games played milestones. 2. This makes a nice change from the usual dynamic on this show that I see, which is Florio talking for a few minutes making a point, then Simms opening with "you're absolutely right Mike, you said it perfectly..." then clumsily regurgitating Florio's arguement. I can barely watch that show due to that constantly happening. Good to see Simms have an opposing arguement for a change and be passionate about defending it.
  3. I'm from Northern Ireland so happy to provide some clarity, without getting into a political discussion of course. Northern Ireland is its own country, seperate to Ireland (which is also referred to as the Republic of Ireland) and is part of the United Kingdom. Some inhabitants of Northern Ireland are proud to be considered British, these people are known as Unionists (i.e. in support of the Union of the United Kingdom). Others support the idea of Northern Ireland breaking off from the United Kingdom and Ireland and Northern Ireland again becoming 1 nation, these people are known as Nationalists. The well documented 'Troubles' in decades past stems from the tension between these 2 factions. Personally I don't have a strong sway either way and bring up my kids to accept and respect both points of view. Thankfully the threat of violence here is nothing like it was 30 years ago.
  4. I don't envy him when it's time to call Ruke Orhorhoro!
  5. I agree to an extent and like the positivity, but find it hard to agree on the D Line and safety positions, we need a pass rush threat at DE (to replace Floyd) and a bit more at safety before I could say we've actually improved there.
  6. The explanation could be that reading this thread is Digg's favourite off-season pastime and it's more entertaining for him if he fuels it every now and again. I don't read into it all too much, but it is tiresome... Best to ignore the dude I think and hope he shows up in the summer with the right mindset and without any drama.
  7. Any idea on contract value for Dodson as yet? Or on Tim Settle's deal with the Texans? I haven't seen any. (To help with comp pick projections)
  8. Hopefully we'll get the chance to see what a D with a fully fit DQ, along with Milano, Bernard, Benford a fit Douglas, a better Von and 1 or 2 new younger guys at the safety position can do against KC in the playoffs. I don't normally like pointing to injuries as an excuse but the D against KC in the divisional round was absolutely ravaged.
  9. Did we? I didn't see it. I must have pulled out early!
  10. No way BB takes a coordinator role ... even less chance he takes a DC role with a team who already has a defensive minded head coach who will want a significant say in the running of the D.
  11. Either NFC team winning it sits better with me. Preferably the Lions. I don't want to see another AFC QB winning the superbowl before Josh Allen.
  12. This is the first season that my eldest son (15) has really got interested in the NFL and sat down with me to watch games. I didn't force the Bills on him (just used suttle mind control 😄), and let him make his own mind up on which team to follow. Thankfully he is all in on the Bills and we have really enjoyed the ups and downs of this season together... I stupidly thought that this father son bonding is what the football gods had been waiting for all along before allowing the Bills to win it all. Obviously not the case! Anyway, the point I wanted to make was that at low points this season, including Sunday night, I was conscious that I didn't want to (at least outwardly) show too much negative emotion (I can take Bills losses hard sometimes 😞 ) in front of my son... Not that I mind him seeing me like that on occasion, but to try and 'train' a more healthier response to sporting defeat for him and to try and help him enjoy the sport rather than let it competely dictate your mood. Worth a go anyway... Over time he'll likely end up the same as me.
  13. Absolutely... But only 47.3% of the time unfortunately!
  14. As much as I enjoy this message board immensely, I very rarely post or even view a GDT. When a game is on I barely even look at my phone or engage in discussion with friends who also follow the NFL. I'm too focussed on the game, biting nails, pacing the room etc for anything else!
  15. I think Einstein has this all in hand already. We can relax! Kudos again Einstein for your kind act today btw.
  16. Is Taron Johnson being limited (rather than DNP) an indication that he has progressed through at least 1 of the protocol stages? Also... I understand this was a walkthrough practice today. If it was an actual practice would he have been more likely to be listed as DNP?
  17. I agree... He's done. You can add Shakir and Kincaid to the list too, complete waste of draft capital. Am I doing this right?
  18. Good that Joseph is active... But I'd have activated Ford over Miller for this one too.
  19. My confidence level was at about 7.5... but after reading some of the over confidence in this thread it has dropped to 6.3. 😄 Knew I shouldn't have come in here!
  20. I agree on the conditions not suiting Cook, Ty Johnson passing the concussion protocol is great news for Sunday though... Hopefully him and Fournette can have an impact on the ground in this one. Plus as someone mentioned above, the Bills D normally holds Harris to low yardage... Let's hope that continues on Sunday. Regarding Douglas, I'd be wary of playing him on Sunday, he hasn't practiced all week so there's obvious a fairly significant knee injury there. A slippy field won't help that and do we really need him against the Steelers passing offence? Dane Jackson is fairly good against the run if I'm not mistaken. Let's rest Rasul for when we need him against better passing threats.
  21. Totally Boneheaded Decision? (For what's it worth I still hold out a little hope for Elam 😄)
  22. I may be wrong, but wasn't the weather similar (to what is forecasted) for the Wild Card Patriots game 2 years ago? Bills won 47-17 and Allen went 21-of-25 for 308 passing yards and five touchdown passes.
  23. Williams was active too. I think (according to what I've read and listened to today) that Williams struggles with the window dressing and misdirection that the Dolphins do so much of and that Spector was the better fit last night. Against other opponents whose offensive scheme is easier for a LB to diagnose we would likely see Williams in ahead of Spector.
  24. You forget to say 'hear me out...' before you got going 😄 Not a bad theory in all seriousness ... I'll get behind anything that helps this team reach it's goal in February.
  25. No way. I'd much rather face Stroud in his very first playoff game in Buffalo than proven playoff Mahomes in KC. I'd go even further and say that (if we were to lose in the wildcard round) I'd rather lose to the Texans at home than have to sit through yet another playoff loss in Arrowhead.
