Sit Murray or Johnson? I'd sit Murray. He has been useless. Cook and Fournette offer so much more in the pass game.

Agreed.  After a nice start, he’s been pretty meh as a playmaker. Seems like he’s just a pass blocker at this point.  Ty Johnson is too good to sit.  He’s clearly RB2 imo and better than both Fatty and Latty

its funny about perspectives. You found this season miserable? After the drought teams I find it really hard to be miserable during bills season. Frustrating in some aspects sometimes sure, but overall a very entertaining season so far for me

If we don’t make the playoffs because we blew late leads against the jets pats and broncos then yeah. It’s inexcusable and miserable. If we get in, fine. I’ll look past it. But you can’t lose any of those 3 games and we lost all 3. We are too good for that. This isn’t a drought team. It’s one of the 3 best teams in the NFL. Perspective changes with expectations

Hope so but the kid has been struggling for well over a month now

He’s hit a bit of a rookie wall, but hopefully he will rise to the occasion.... gotta keep that dirty POS away from Josh Allen!!

The chances the Jags or Steelers lose is much greater than 3%.    I agree if I am picking those games I will take the Jags and Steelers but both are on the road in the division.  Either can lose and that would not be a shock.

Jags have been choke artists quite often in these situations before. See Indy last year or the year before.

Not really sure why we've moved away from this so much, I seem to remember it working really well early in the year.

I do wonder sometimes if the coaches either out think themselves or if they go more vanilla against lesser teams (i.e. Chargers and Patsies).  Because there are 2 statistics that have held true all season: the offense is far more efficient when they play up tempo (no huddle) and when Allen is under center and calls play action.    Yet.. they go away from both all the time.   Why?

I have a hard time believing the Ravens are thinking anything like that.  They are focused on the Steelers and they all want to win the game. You don’t get to the NFL by turning your competitiveness on and off like us fans do.

That may be true of the players but the amount of gameplanning and strategizing for the game is not up to them.

I'm not saying the coaches don't want to win, merely stating the fact that there may be some incentive to lose or at least not care too much about winning.

Most playoff teams lose 1-2 head scratchers a year we lost one too many imo.  Kc lost to Las Vegas, Green Bay, Denver but they’ve got no other good team in their division so it worked out.

Eagles lost to jets and cardinals

cowboys lost to cardinals also

Miami blew a huge lead against ten

Baltimore had the third worst division record in the afc north despite facing a bunch of teams with backup qbs but then they went out and smashed SF and Miami

Titans will help

I actually think there’s a decent chance

Vrabel had a rant about how much he hates losing.

Tanny will want to show he can still be an NFL QB.

Hopkins has a chance to earn $$$ with incentives

Henry could be playing his last game there

So now that Pittsburgh won its Win or go home for us tomorrow against the Dolphins? Either 2 seed or no playoffs?

No. This next game can end in a tie (unlikely). Or the Titans beat the Jags tomorrow.

Either of these happen, the Bills will be in even if they lose.

No I think Jax has to beat Ten for it be a playoff game for us. There are scenarios where we get in with a Jax loss and some other stuff happening even if we blow it against Mia.

The way that I see it is this. This is a playoff game, with a distinct advantage. If the Bills can't win a game like this against a hobbled Miami team, then they can't win the playoffs. If they can't win in the playoffs, let's take the higher draft pick. In other words, I would rather lose this week than in the divisional round in two weeks.

I get your logic, but I’d prefer Indy or Houston. I know Pittsburgh isn’t great, but Tomlin is a playoff experienced coach. They have defensive players who could give Josh a tough time. I’m typically a “you just need to beat who play” type guy. That being said, if we can’t beat those teams in the first round, we aren’t getting far anyways. I’m just ready to bring on the playoffs.

Every week in the NFL is 100% different and the ball can bounce in any weird way. To think the Bills can’t win in the playoffs after losing in a week 18 game and it’s better to get a draft pick that is a few spots higher instead of having a shot this year is a absolutely absurd.

That would leave the divisional round as ...

If Miami beat KC we would play the winner of Browns/Houston

If KC beat Miami we would play KC

I don't think they are THAT hobbled. Looks like Waddle and Hill will be in. Now, they obviously lost some star defensive players, but I feel like their offense is going to light up our defense even if they are hobbled. I just don't feel good about tomorrow's game. This whole season has had such a dark cloud over it imho, even with the wins. IDK, I hope I am wrong of course. I feel like nothing going our way is just adding to my negativity. If we lose tomorrow, it's going to be the longest off season ever! I am sure Diggs and his brother will act up. Obviously I want a SB win before I die, but there is something mortifying about not even making the playoffs potentially.

Just realised that, ironically, from a 'security' point of view, the Bills would have been better off if the Dolphins had won last week. The Ravens would have had to win tonight to secure one seed and, if they had, the Dolphins would have probably played their back ups tomorrow. And, unless the Jags somehow lose, it wouldn't have changed the risk behind tomorrow's game that much at all.

So let's take advantage of what the Ravens win last week did, and claim the two seed.

Even if Hills and Waddle play, they are nowhere near 100%. Waddle is two weeks removed from a high ankle sprain and Hill is in a boot.

The chance at the 2 seed which they themselves control … even  if that means being out of the playoffs with a loss tomorrow … trumps sneaking in the back door with the 6th seed …

They really need to be focused on making the most of this opportunity, which looked lost a month ago … need to get it done as it’s a down  year generally for their competitors

Yeah, but we know how it goes with our defense. Sometimes offenses that have no business putting up points magically do against us. Bailey Zappe had some moments last week and so did Easton Stick. Don't get me wrong, our D has been playing a lot better lately, but I still come to expect them to disappoint.

After 12 men & the Eagles making a 60-yarder against us - I think we all would have taken having a chance to beat the Dolphins for the 2 seed.

It's nice to have the "back in" option - but maybe it's better not to have that.
