gtw3
The Jets (5-2) are playing the Pats (3-4) this week and despite the fact that the Jets are only 1 loss behind us in the W/L column, I cannot force myself to root for the Patriots. Anyone else feel that way? Maybe it is because I still think that the Jets will fall off a cliff here soon, especially after losing Hall. ..here's hoping for a 0-0 tie. 3 1 1 1
Playoffs?
After we exorcised the demons last season, the Pats aren’t what they used to be for me. I’m not scared of them, and no longer give them the respect I once did. They’re any other other AFC East team now. I’ll root for them to beat the Jets, knocking them down to 5-3. CSBill
I don't know why, but I'll pick the Jets. Bonus: That will set them and their insufferable fans up for a huge let-down next week in New Jersey.

eball
I agree with rooting for 3-4 to defeat 5-2, but let’s face it — neither of these teams are in Buffalo’s class so it really doesn’t matter. Let them both implode. 4
SageAgainstTheMachine
Want the Pats to win. A lot of crap happens in the season and if Josh goes down for 2-3 games with some minor injury I don’t want anyone in striking distance for the division. 5

Greg S
The correct answer to a question like this is... "Whatever benefits the Bills". In this case a NE win helps Buffalo. With that said. F*** the Pats and the Jets.

pocoboy
Man this is a tough choice. I think you root for NYJ. I'll let you decide all the great reasons why. Actually, no, I'll tell you why: 1) There may be no further demoralization of the NE fanbase than if they were to get their comeuppance by Zach Wilson. 2) If you truly think that the Bills and Jets are in two different classes, guess what happens the following weekend, after Jets fans get all puffed up? There you go, have a nice day. Edited October 27, 2022 by pocoboy 1

BuffaloBillyG
I'll hope the Pats win to give the Bills a bit of breathing room. Things I'm hoping for in this game: 1. Mac Jones looks good. Let him show just enough to keep the job and thereby keeping the Pats in QB purgatory. 2. Sauce continues to shine. Let him keep showing out...because in a couple weeks Allen and Diggs will give him his official "welcome to the NFL". 3. As a James Robinson fantasy owner I'm hoping for at least a TD from him. 4. Zach Wilson and Mac Jones get into a slap fight after the game. 5. More odd facial expressions from Belichick's kid.

Earlier this year he did well going up against Chase and Burrow. Allen and Diggs will make plays, but Sauce will probably play them tough. Unfortunately, the Jets got themselves a really good corner.
BuffaloBillyG
Just now, Greg S said: Sauce is the real deal. Earlier this year he did well going up against Chase and Burrow. He is and he's one of the rare players on divisional teams that I enjoy watching. And while Chase and Burrow are great together they are completely different than Diggs and Allen. If Burrow doesn't have time then Chase can't get free deep which is their bread and butter. Burrow isn't exactly great at extending the play like Allen is. There will be plays where Diggs absolutely shakes Sauce out of his shoes. I would expect the young CB to make some plays as well but I think over the course of the game Diggs will provide some great learning lessons for Sauce.
DaBillsFanSince1973
a tie? would that help as I don't want either to win. honestly, I want the pats to continue to fall, I'm not at all concerned about the jets going to 6-2. the real question is will brady quit after being beat by the ravens tonight and falling to 3-5?
Captain Hindsight
I bet the Patriots win. Without Breece Hall the Jets are going to struggle to move the ball. Wilson sucks when pressured "When pressured in 2022, Wilson has completed 5 of 31 passes (16%) for 54 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He’s been sacked eight times for a loss of 54 yards, giving him a net total of zero yards when pressured." https://jetsxfactor.com/2022/10/24/ny-jets-qb-zach-wilson-struggle/ Get to Wilson and you win easily. As much as the Pats* have struggled this year, Belicheck knows how to get pressure to bad QBs 19 minutes ago, DaBillsFanSince1973 said: a tie? would that help as I don't want either to win. honestly, I want the pats to continue to fall, I'm not at all concerned about the jets going to 6-2. DasNootz
Pats win - it gives some breathing room in the conference and keeps them more irrelevant when the draft comes around. Lets hope they suffer 20 years of 7 to 8 win seasons.
Roundybout
I would prefer the Pats to get the Jets another loss. Definitely more possible too because Wilson is awful and won't be able to lean on Hall. I think Robinson is a good get. He had a really good 2020 season. But he's not as explosive as Hall was. C.Biscuit97
I don’t think the Pats are good. I think the Jets have much better young talent on their team. They have a very bad (but he deserves this year) qb who will hold them back. so I don’t fear either team and I hope they both lose.

The Jets defense seems to be playing really well though, and whether Bill likes it or not, teams seem to give NE their best shot lately. sirebors
I think what might actually be best for Buffalo is for the Jets to win and for them to somehow get in the playoffs. PrimeTime101
This fan base still has a ton of hate towards NE and their fan base lol. The hate is real. klos63
We used to call these injury games, but that's not a nice thing to root for now. You have to pull for the Patriots to win based on the standings, which is the most important part of the regular season.
Homey D. Clown
What I'd like to see at halftime is Mr. Were-on-to-cincinatti to have shat his pants with uncontrollable montezuma's revenge, and clap-happy, run-on-the-field-for-every-tackle Saleh to have burst a blood vessel in both eyes. At halftime. Fingers crossed!

No thanks, I'll root for 3-4 to beat 5-2! Remember how insufferable Boston fans were - that didn't happen until they won a Super Bowl. Jets fans - they become insufferable when they have a couple more wins than losses! BillyBilliams
I'm not "rooting" but I'd like the Patriots to win. Not because I want to have a cushion for the division lead.
